Editor Picks: Ten Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncakes In Klang Valley

InterContinental Kuala Lumpur
This year Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur is offering 10 types of mooncakes to go for. You can get siz baked, three snow skin and a special Shanghainese Savoury Mooncake. Each mooncake comes beautifully packed and for every four mooncakes, you will be getting a beautiful box to go with it.

Sheraton Petaling Jaya 
Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel’s mooncake comes with beautifully crafted mooncake boxes. It comes with the beautifully designed jewellery boxes that come in three designs – Beautiful Peacock, Glittering Butterflies, and Delicate Plum Blossom. They come with the classic flavours like Pure Lotus Paste, White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Pandan Paste with Single Yolk, Red Bean Paste, Mixed Nuts, and Baked Durian with Single Yolk. The mooncakes are priced from RM26 nett per piece.

Pullman KL Bangsar
Pullman KL Bangsar comes up with the colourful selection of mooncake. The mooncakes come in myriad colours where they have 8 choices of classic mooncakes and 2 choices of the snow skin mooncake to go for. Comes with the choice of gold and purple. And their mooncakes are priced at RM32 for bake skin and RM 35 for snow skin.

Grand Imperial Restaurant
Grand Imperial Restaurant is one the restaurant which attracted me with their mooncake. And this year, Savour your hearts with Grand Imperial Mooncake with their newly launched Dates Lotus with Custard. Grand Imperial also offers a range of traditional mooncakes that includes the Pandan Lotus Paste Single Yolk, Lotus Paste Double Yolk, White Lotus Single Yolk, Low Sugar White Lotus Paste and more. And they have a nice packaging for a set of two, and also set of four as well.

Grand Harbour Restaurant 
Grand Harbour Restaurant do offer mooncakes as well. Their mooncake is not just delicious but their mooncakes are individually packed in elegant pastel floral themed boxes. And one can choose the gift boxes of their choice of the square pastel box or the 3-tier hexagon corporate gift box as an ideal gift for your loved ones, friends and associates. As for their mooncake varieties; this year they had released two NEW flavours which are the Golden Zest and The Fruity Diet.  Asides from the two flavours, Grand Harbour also offer you with the wide choices of traditional and snow skin mooncake such as the White Lotus Double Yolk, White Lotus Single Yolk, White Lotus Paste, Red Bean Mooncake, Fruits Nuts Mixture, Black Sesame with White Lotus and many more. Each of the mooncakes ranges from RM 15.50 to RM 24.50 each. As for the Snow Skin, they have the Snow Skin White Lotus, Snow Skin Yam Paste and the Snow Skin Red Bean. Each of it is priced at RM 18.50 each while the Snow Skin Red Bean is at RM 14.50 each.

Donutes Mooncake 
And this time, Donute’s Coffee & Cake Malaysia version brings you with the Taiwanese Style Mooncake and the price comes pretty reasonable too.  This Taiwanese Style Mooncake is made from shortcrust pastry where they have the buttery and flaky crust. And this year they had come out with 7 flavours in their mooncake. All are freshly baked and available in a box of 8 for the price of RM 58.90. The mooncakes come nice and also beautifully packed. Good for those who love to try some Taiwanese Style Mooncake.
