And this year, Tao Chinese Cuisine make the perfect match this festive season where this year their dim sum master chef – Chef Lo Tian Sion presented the harmonious blend of flavours from a luxurious harmonies blend of flavors from the fresh produce and traditional ingredients.

With more than 20 years of experience under his belt, Chef Lo Tian Sion (羅天送) is widely recognized for his talent in creating delicate bite-sized savouries. Much of his dim sum charm is also credited to his trainings abroad in China, Taiwan, Japan and Indonesia.

The past two decades of enthusiasm and determination from Chef Lo saw him earning his way up to where he is today – Dim Sum Chef of the award-winning Tao Chinese Cuisine, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur. Specialising in authentic Hong Kong dim sum, the secret to Chef Lo’s toothsome dim sum is using premium quality ingredients and adaptation to the likes of local diners’ palate with stronger flavours. Most importantly, the dim sum master ensures each dim sum is handmade from scratch and prepared fresh daily.

And this year, Tao’s 10 exquisite mooncake picks include 6 classic baked-skin flavours, 3 translucent snow skin creations and a striking Shanghai style savoury mooncake, ready to appease your taste buds.

And this year, for the snow skin selection, Chef Lo brings you with the 3 distinctive flavours which had make a difference.

And on the list of snow skin, one can have the Snow Skin with Durian Paste and Oats (冰皮麥香榴莲月饼), Marble Snow Skin with Butterfly Pea Flower and Bird’s Nest (蝴蝶兰花燕丝月饼) and Snow Skin with Japanese Green Tea and Cherry Jelly (冰皮绿茶樱桃月饼). The 3 of the mooncakes comes simply impressive and beautiful. Each of it is just deliciously done and unique.

For the bake skin selection, Tao had come out with 6 classic baked-skin mooncakes are made to reflect the philosophical aspect of this unique celebration – harmony. Chef Lo and team work to ensure each mooncake has the perfect skin-to-paste ratio throughout the production process and the mooncakes come out of the oven golden-brown each time.

The list of halal-certified baked mooncakes includes the best-selling White Lotus Paste With Single Yolk (单黃白莲蓉月饼), Pure White Lotus With Nuts (凈白莲蓉月饼), Red Bean Paste With Nuts (紅豆沙月饼), Black Sesame Bamboo Charcoal With Single Yolk (竹炭黑芝麻单黃月饼), Pandan With Single Yolk (单黃金翡翠月饼) and all-time favourite, Traditional Mixed Nuts (素五仁月饼). All ingredients are sourced personally by Chef Lo to ensure fineness and freshness. And what makes the mooncake eve better is where Chef had imported the lotus seeds all the way from the Zhe Jiang Provinces of Southern China.
Not just that, Chef Lo also uses the fresh pandan juice in making the Pandan Paste Mooncake as well.

To make your mid – autumn more unique, Chef Lo’s comes up with the Shanghai Style Baked Black Pepper Smoked Duck Meat With Yam (上海黑椒煙鴨芋泥月餅). Inspired by the famous street snack, Scallion Pancake, during a trip in Taiwan, Chef Lo’s created an interpretive recipe in this unique mooncake using black pepper smoked duck and sweet yam paste. Encased in a light and flaky pastry, every bite is an orchestic experience in the mouth. This delicacy is only available for dine-in in Tao Chinese Cuisine for optimal taste and texture.

For 50 boxes and above, 25% bulk purchase discount is applied plus a one-off free delivery service within the Klang Valley areas. Delivery services are charged at RM50 per drop within Kuala Lumpur city centre areas and RM70 per drop within Klang Valley areas.
