Celebrate Mid Autumn in Grand Harbour with their Festive Menu & Mooncakes

August 28, 2018 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

Mooncake festival is another festival which is greatly celebrated among the Chinese community. And this time around, Grand Harbour brings you with not just mooncake to celebrate this festive season but they offer their signatures and seasonal menu to celebrate this big festival. And in conjunction with the festival, Executive Chef Chan offers you with a hearty menu to welcome this festival.
Braised Crab Meat Thick Soup with Assorted Dried Seafood and Crab Roe.
And we started off with their Braised Crab Meat Thick Soup with Assorted Dried Seafood and Crab Roe. The hearty bowl of soup is packed with flavours and chunky crab meat and dried seafood. Every mouthful is just perfect where I love the flavours of the soups with have the complete hint of seafood in it.
Wok Fried Giant Grouper in Hong Kong Fishing Village Style
This is awesome and each bites of the fish is just like the fish is swimming inside your mouth. The freshness of the fish is there and they are perfectly fried till golden brown with the fragrantly chopped garlic in it. The crunchy bites of the fish and garlic make a good match and every mouthful is divinely good. Just love how they are made.
Poached Ming Prawn with Chinese Yellow Wine
If you are a big fan of prawns; enjoy this delicious poached ming prawns where they are freshly selected by their chef. We love how they served the prawns where the chef poured the Chinese Yellow wine over and cooked on the flaming fire. The prawns come simply flavourful and yet the prawns bring you with the bouncy bites.
Braised Homemade Bean Curd with Fish Lips and Mushroom in Abalone Sauce
Love the Braised Homemade Bean Curd where they are velvety and the sauce comes simply flavourful. Sides with the generous portion of mushroom. The sauce are superbly delicious where we really enjoy it.

Fried Rice with Eel and Black Pepper
Love how the fried rice is prepared. The fragrant black pepper taste accompanied with the chunky cubes of eel in the fried rice comes awesomely good. Love the spicy flavours of the fried rice itself.

Steamed Chicken with Lotus Seed and Garlic in Lotus Leaf (MYR 120)
And their Promotion for the Mid Autumn would be their signature Steamed Chicken with Lotus Seed and Garlic in Lotus Leaf (MYR 120). Enjoy the moist and juicy chicken where they are wrapped in the lotus leaf. Cooked for hours, you can taste the flavours of the lotus leaf infused into the chicken itself making me very nice and fragrant. I just need another bowl of
rice to go with it and drenched the sauces in the bowl of rice and that would be even more perfect!
Braised Spare Ribs with Chestnut & Fried Onion (MYR 50)
Braised for hours, the spare ribs come simply tender and juicy. The meat is so good especially the fragrance of the spare ribs itself. Nicely done!
Red Dates Layer Cake (MYR 9.80)
The Red Dates Layer Cake comes just perfect to cleanse the flavourful meal we had. The bouncy texture of the red dates together with the soothing cooling effect is nice and the Red Dates Layer Cake is not too sweet as well.
If you’re dining in a big group, they also comes up with their luscious Mid Autumn Festival 9-Course Set Menu for your ease as well.
Asides from that, one can also purchase heart-warming delicious mooncake. Their mooncake are not just delicious but their mooncakes are individually packed in elegant pastel floral themed boxes.
And one can choose the gift boxes of their choice of the square pastel box or the 3-tier hexagon corporate gift box as an ideal gift for your loved ones, friends and associates.
As for their mooncake varieties; this year they had released two NEW flavours which is the Golden Zest and The Fruity Diet. The two flavours comes with the fruity blend which is more refreshing but sweetness is toned down as well.
