A Season of Theatre, Taste and Togetherness at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur

December 22, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

The festive spirit has officially arrived at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur, where the year-end celebrations unfold with warmth, flavour and a touch of theatrical charm. Set against the backdrop of lush surroundings and thoughtful design, the five-star resort presents a festive programme that is as generous as it is inviting — bringing together indulgent dining, family-friendly entertainment and an atmosphere designed to linger in memory.

At the heart of the celebrations is Fairway Coffee House, the resort’s all-day dining restaurant, where festive buffet meals take centre stage. The space itself sets the mood: rustic interiors accented with wooden elements from floor to ceiling create a sense of closeness to nature, offering guests a warm and welcoming setting that feels both relaxed and celebratory.

Festive Buffets with Added Cheer

The festivities begin on Christmas Eve, with a Buffet Dinner on 24 December 2025, priced at RM238 per adult, RM119 per child and RM167 per senior, accompanied by a special Buy 3 Free 1 promotion. Guests can expect not just a feast, but a full festive experience — complete with house wine or sparkling juice, appearances by Santa and Santarina, clown entertainment and festive party packs that add a playful note to the evening.

On Christmas Day, the celebration continues with a Buffet Hi-Tea on 25 December 2025, priced at RM185 per adult, RM93 per child and RM130 per senior, also featuring a Buy 3 Free 1 offer. Entertainment remains part of the programme, making it an especially appealing option for families seeking a relaxed yet festive daytime celebration.

A Thoughtfully Curated Culinary Journey

The festive dining experience unfolds across a carefully curated spread that reflects both culinary ambition and broad appeal.

Festive starters set the tone with a creative mix of textures and flavours. Highlights include Compressed Melon with Vanilla Scallop Aioli, Beetroot with Organic Quinoa Salad, Crab Cake Timbale with Wakame Salad, and Beef Tataki with Wasabi Yuzu Emulsion. Additional offerings such as Portobello Mushrooms with Seafood Ragout and Parmesan Gratin, Lamb Loin with Tapenade, assorted terrines, pâté and cold cuts provide variety and depth.

Ocean’s Best: Seafood at Its Finest

Seafood lovers are especially well catered for at M Resort & Hotel, where a generous Seafood on Ice station showcases snow crabs, slipper lobsters, tiger prawns, scallops and oysters. A standout feature is the tableside shucking of Irish oysters, ensuring absolute freshness. Guests may enjoy them simply with lemon and Tabasco, or raw in their purest form.

Complementing the cold seafood selection are poached salmon, torched scallops, smoked salmon, as well as an impressive Japanese offering featuring assorted sushi and sashimi of hamachi, salmon, tuna and octopus.

Live Stations and Festive Roasts

Making its debut this year is the à la minute Portuguese grill station, which has quickly become a crowd favourite. Guests select their seafood — including clams, mussels, prawns, squid, seabass and snapper — using a colour-coded tag system before collecting their freshly grilled dish once ready. The interactive element adds both excitement and theatre to the dining experience.

Traditional holiday roasts anchor the buffet, featuring Roasted Turkey, Roasted Whole Lamb Leg, and a striking Red Ribbon Bone-In Ribeye. These classics are served with comforting accompaniments such as bread stuffing and roasted vegetables, delivering the familiar flavours of Christmas.

A World of Flavours

The buffet extends into a rich selection of hot dishes representing Malay, Chinese, Indian and Western cuisines. Highlights include Javanese-style Ayam Masak Bertutu, Padang-style Udang Petai Berlado, Marmite Prawns, Classic Beef Stroganoff, Lamb Navarin, Chicken and Mushroom Pot Pie, and Traditional Shepherd’s Pie. Local touches such as beef and chicken satay, alongside global favourites like oven-baked baby chicken in spicy tomato sauce and creamed spinach salmon, ensure something for every palate.

A dedicated Comfort Corner offers warming bowls of Creamy Chestnut Pumpkin Soup, as well as Fish Maw with Seafood Soup, ideal for guests seeking something soothing and hearty.

Light Bites, Noodles and Cheese

Those preferring lighter bites will find an abundance of options, from smoked salmon blinis, miso-glazed eggplant, and crab, cucumber and prawn cocktail, to mushroom cheese croquette balls and lamb pizza. A live noodle station allows guests to customise their bowl with ingredients such as prawns and fish balls, with choices of chicken soup or curry laksa.

Salad greens, assorted toppings, artisanal breads and a well-curated cheese platter round out the savoury offerings.

Sweet Temptations to End on a High Note

No festive celebration would be complete without dessert, and M Resort & Hotel delivers an extensive and visually appealing pastry spread. Guests can indulge in classics such as Gingerbread House, Panettone, Marzipan Stollen, and Christmas Cookies, alongside refined desserts including Hazelnut Swiss Log, Red Forest Entremet, Tiramisu, Raspberry Choux, and Valrhona Chocolates. Comforting favourites like Mixed Berry Bread Pudding with Crème Anglaise, Vanilla Crème Caramel, Berries Panna Cotta, and Exotic Mango Pudding ensure a sweet ending for every preference.

A Festive Experience Worth Gathering For

With its expansive culinary spread, engaging live stations and festive entertainment, M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur presents a Christmas celebration that feels generous, joyful and thoughtfully executed. Whether dining with family, friends or colleagues, the resort offers a setting where food, festivity and togetherness come together seamlessly.

Reservations are highly recommended, as this is one festive experience not to be missed.
