A New Address for Festive Indulgence: Christmas at Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur

December 22, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Opened earlier this year, Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur marks the brand’s second property in Malaysia — and from the outset, it sets a confident new benchmark for premium city living. Situated in the heart of Bukit Bintang, one of Kuala Lumpur’s most coveted addresses, the property offers sweeping city views and a refined urban retreat tailored for both extended stays and discerning travellers.

As the hotel celebrates its debut Christmas season, it does so with a thoughtfully curated festive offering that reflects both classic holiday traditions and modern culinary sensibilities. Central to these celebrations is Bistro Kia Peng, the hotel’s sole dining outlet, located on the mezzanine level and overlooking the swimming pool.

Designed with clean lines, a sleek finish and contemporary warmth, Bistro Kia Peng provides an inviting setting for relaxed dining. For guests seeking a more intimate experience, the restaurant also features a private dining room accommodating up to eight guests, ideal for small gatherings or private celebrations.

‘Merry Moments’ Festive Buffet

This Christmas, Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur introduces its inaugural festive programme under the theme “Merry Moments”, headlined by buffet dinners on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The spread is extensive and well-balanced, offering something for every palate — from indulgent festive classics to Asian favourites and lighter, refreshing selections.

Christmas Patisserie: A Sweet Celebration

The festive experience begins at the pastry section, which showcases a visually delightful and generous selection of holiday confections. Highlights include Chocolate Yule Logs, Mini Yule Logs, Christmas Fruitcake, and whimsical creations such as Reindeer and Santa Mousse Cakes. The display is further complemented by Gingerbread Cookies, an intricately crafted Gingerbread House, Macarons, Muffins, festive cookies and trail mix — making it a joyful finale or a tempting indulgence throughout the meal.

Carving Station: Festive Classics Done Right

The carving station anchors the buffet with traditional Christmas roasts prepared with care and attention to flavour. Guests can enjoy Roast Turkey, a seasonal staple, alongside Slow-Baked Prime Ribs coated in an aromatic herb crust that enhances the richness of the beef.

These roasts are served with a generous array of traditional trimmings, including baked potatoes, grilled vegetables, roasted sweet potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and a selection of dipping sauces — offering a comforting and familiar festive experience.

Festive Mains: A Global Spread

Beyond the carving station, the buffet unfolds into a diverse range of hot dishes drawing from Western, Asian and local influences. Highlights include Oven-Baked Lamb Rack with Garlic Herb Sauce, Beef Goulash with Potatoes and Carrots, and Rosemary Orange Duck. Vegetable accompaniments such as Brussels sprouts with glazed baby carrots and tallow-roasted potatoes provide balance and depth.

Asian-inspired offerings add further variety, from Wok-Fried Boneless Chicken with Kam Heong Sauce and Deep-Fried Seabass with Teriyaki Sauce to Pan-Fried Butter Fish with Classic Lemon Butter Sauce. Seafood lovers are well catered for with Fried Flower Crabs with XO Sauce, Spicy Tiger Prawns with Sweet Potatoes, and traditional cucur sayur, adding a local festive touch.

Refreshing Interlude and Seafood on Ice

For those seeking lighter bites or palate cleansers, the buffet includes an array of refreshing side dishes. The salad and cold section features fresh greens, roasted cauliflower with yellow lentils and herbs, barbecued corn with chicken chorizo, roasted pear, and broccolini summer mango salsa. Cold cuts such as smoked duck and smoked salmon, alongside an assorted cheese selection, round out the offerings.

A dedicated Seafood on Ice station presents fresh oysters, tiger prawns, and flower crabs, adding an element of indulgence that elevates the overall dining experience.

Soups, Live Stations and Comforting Staples

Warm comfort is provided through soup offerings such as Creamy Broccoli and Spinach Soup and Sup Daging Berempah, accompanied by garlic bread and bread rolls with butter.

Adding an interactive element, the live wok station serves à la minute fried noodles, including fried kuey teow, ensuring dishes are freshly prepared to order.

Beverages and Festive Warmth

To complete the experience, guests can enjoy tropical fruits, longan, chilled beverages, English tea and a selection of coffee including espresso and cappuccino. True to festive tradition, mulled wine is also served — offering warmth, spice and seasonal cheer as the evening unfolds.

Beyond Christmas

For guests preferring a lighter celebration, festive set lunches are available on Christmas Day. Looking ahead to the year’s end, Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur also hosts a special New Year’s Eve buffet dinner, providing a welcoming setting to celebrate the final evening before the midnight countdown.

A Promising Start to a Festive Tradition

With its central location, contemporary design and thoughtfully executed festive dining, Marriott Executive Apartments Kuala Lumpur makes a confident debut into the city’s holiday scene. Its “Merry Moments” celebration reflects a careful balance of indulgence and comfort — offering guests a place to gather, dine and celebrate the season in a setting that feels polished, welcoming and distinctly urban.

As the property begins its festive tradition, it does so with assurance — setting the tone for many memorable celebrations to come.
