Hilton Petaling Jaya Presents ‘Fortune Flavours The Bold’ This Chinese New Year

January 21, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Hilton Petaling Jaya proudly presents ‘Fortune Flavours The Bold’ for this Chinese New Year season with Toh Yuen restaurant’s culinary delights. In conjunction with ten other participating Hilton hotels in Malaysia, this also marks the first nationwide campaign of the year.

A wordplay of the popular ‘fortune favours the bold’ proverb, this year’s theme honours the Tiger zodiac’s traits of boldness and bravery, while ‘fortune’ is synonymous with the festive period and symbolic among the Chinese communities. The masterfully-crafted dishes are flavoured with a bold dimension, aligning with Hilton’s core values of culinary craftsmanship and creative innovation.

Toh Yuen, Hilton Petaling Jaya’s authentic Chinese restaurant, takes the lead with an ensemble of Oriental treasures including reunion set menus and premium yee sang selections.

Yee Sang

We started off with the Yee Sang where the Yee Sang comes with the Tiger Prawn, Air flown Salmon, Pear and the Watery Rose Apple. The Yee Sang comes amazingly delicious and appetizing. It brings a refreshing taste which is from the watery rose apple, pear and the sauce itself

Eight Orchard’s Treasures

If you are looking for some fruity yee sang, they have them too. One can enjoy the fruit yee sang which comes with the combination of jambu air, kiwi, mango pomelo , orange and more.

Double Boiled Soup with Dried Scallop, Chicken & Herb, Black Mushroom

You can also enjoy a soothing bowl of aromatic and healthy bowl of soup. They comes with the soothing bowl of goodness which is packed with the ingredients that includes dried scallop, chicken and herbs as well as black mushroom in it.

Succulent Roasted Chicken with Mongolian Sauce

If you are big fans of Roasted Chicken, they are indeed delicious where the chicken is perfectly roasted with the tender and juicy meat in it . It is then topped with the delicious Mongolian Sauce on top. Yummy!

Steamed Cod Fish with Superior Soy Sauce, topped with Crispy Garlic

One can enjoy the superbly delicious steamed cod fish which perfectly our favourite as the cod fish is amazingly good. They are perfectly steamed with the chef’s superior soy sauce and then topped with the crispy garlic on top.

Wok Fried Golden Tiger Prawn with Butter; Salted Egg And Chicken Floss

The dish comes really good where the prawns are perfectly wok fried. It brings you with the aromatic taste of the combination of butter and salted egg and the paste is indeed very creamy.

Steamed Glutinous Rice with Salted Egg Wrapped in Lotus Leaf

One can enjoy the perfectly steamed glutinous rice with the salted egg wrapped in Lotus Leaf. They are really fragrant and each mouthful is such an indulgence.

Warmed Lily Bulb in Longan Syrup and Lotus Seed

And of course, complete your meal with the soothing bowl of desserts. The desserts is just perfect and we indeed enjoy them so much.

And for this year, one can usher in the sweet beginning of the Water Tiger Year with Hilton’s Rose Apple Yee Sang special and choose from three varieties, available for dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders.

As the nation enters its third pandemic year, this Chinese New Year marks the first reunion for many families across the country.
