Genki Sushi @ Sunway Pyramid : Affordable Great Sushi!

January 5, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Genki Sushi began with the vision of a 24-year-old Japanese sushi chef, Fumio Saito back in 1968. And now, Genki Sushi finally returned to Malaysia after they had closed their last outlet in 1 Utama. I remembered I visited them once before when they are in 1 Utama and now they are are back in Sunway Pyramid.

One of the talk about is their 1.5 times bigger sushi serving compared to other restaurant at RM 4.80 per piece where they named it as Dai Man Zoku (big satisfaction). They bring you with the value for money quality sushi with the unique dining experience.

Lets start with their concept. The concept is simply unique where we are led to our table and we have the QR code for us to scan. Once we had scan them, we have the online based menu where we do all the ordering via phone and it will be delivered to your table via the three – level sushi delivery system.

This system is inspired by the Japanese Shinkansen Bullet Trains and the brand’s Ingenious “Kousoku Express” Train System where they deliver the food items directly from the kitchen to table and promising you the optimum freshness and seamless dining experience for its customer.

One of the MUST HAVE is the Dai Man Zoku where they come with 8 choices of sushi. And for us, we ordered the Jumbo Crab Stick, Seared Prime Belly with the Spicy Sauce, Seared Red Shrimps with Garlic Butter and the Red Shrimp. The sushi is 1.5 times bigger and they uses the good quality of ingredients in their sushi too.

Asides, we also grab their Nigiri Sushi and the rolls selection such as the Crab Stick Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Soft Shell Crab Avocado Roll and many more.

Don’t miss out their Steamed Egg Custard too which comes velvety good and soft texture. I am loving this as well.

The Takoyaki and Deep-fried Chicken fares a good mark too. They dishes are  served hot and the ingredients are fresh.

And what I love is their affordable Assorted Seafood Rice Bowl (RM 16.90) . The seafood rice bowl comes awesomely good and delicious and they are one of my favorites. The ingredients are fresh and portion comes generous too.

Overall, Genki Sushi brings you with the affordable sushi with premium quality. I am impressed with it and coming back for more sushis.
