CELEBRATE MID-AUTUMN WITH AN EXQUISITE MOONCAKE COLLECTION BY GRAND HYATT HONG KONG

July 7, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is proud to present a coveted selection of mooncakes with brand new packaging to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a moment denoted by the traditional Chinese calendar to honour familial unity through sharing and offering. The limited selection of delectable treasures are now available for pre-order and will be the perfect addition to this period of heartfelt celebration.

The Chocolatier presents three original collections of handmade mooncakes, meticulously crafted using the finest ingredients to suit the most exquisite of palates. The whole series together will be launched in brand new packaging, presenting stylish and handy boxes bathed in hues of silver, gold and red of the full bright moon. Designed with symbolic and auspicious motifs, the presentation will stand out and is an ideal gift of thanks for the season.

Catering to more traditional flavours, the Full Moon Box (priced at $398) features a traditional recipe passed down for generations; of authentic white lotus seed purée with two salted egg yolks, encased in a thin pastry that is fresh and delicate.. The Bright Moon set of eight mini mooncakes (priced at $368), each delicious morsel is filled with carefully balanced milk custard for a melt-in-the-mouth experience, perfectly portioned for sharing to create a memorable occasion. The Jade Moon Box (priced at $388), encasing eight mini green tea custard cakes, is designed for those who crave an epicurean journey of discovery. Making a return after several years of taste refinement, the Jade collection promises true indulgence for a joyous Mid-Autumn Festival.

Back by popular demand, Chef Li Shu Tim has once again created the acclaimed One Habour Road Collection Box (priced at $498), a premium ensemble of two creative flavours: Milk custard with bird’s nest and Ginger custard with salted egg yolk. Reinterpreting classic Chinese ingredients with a modern twist, these handmade cakes uniquely blend fragrance, taste and texture to unravel new experiences across the senses. The zing of ginger lightens the heaviness of the egg yolk, whilst the custard complements the bird’s nest with a creamy consistency, making the collection a luxuriously refined delicacy for family and friends.

For those who seek a more deluxe option for sharing and gifting, the Grand Hamper (priced at $2,888) features a Full Moon Box alongside a selection of other delights, such as Grand Hyatt Hong Kong’s renowned homemade X.O. chilli sauce and chocolates, luxury Jasmine and Tikuanyin tea, caramelised walnuts and fried cashew nuts. The hamper of delicious treats is the ultimate embodiment of unity and fortune that the season represents.PREMIUM MOONCAKE COLLECTION BY GRAND HYATT HONG KONG
