A Pink Christmas with Attitude: Moxy Putrajaya Turns Festive Dining into Playful Theatre

December 23, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

This festive season, Moxy Putrajaya rewrites the rules of Christmas celebrations with a bold and unapologetically fun concept aptly named “Pink Christmas.” True to the brand’s spirited personality, this is a holiday affair that swaps silent nights for laughter, indulgence and cheeky charm — a celebration where food becomes theatre and dining feels like a party.

The festivities unfold at Three.6.5, the hotel’s chic all-day dining outlet located just beside the reception. From the moment guests arrive, the mood is unmistakably Moxy: lively music, vibrant décor and an atmosphere buzzing with festive energy. It is a setting designed not just to host a meal, but to create memories.

Carving Station Magic

The heart of the Pink Christmas experience lies at its spectacular carving station, where centrepieces are brought to life before guests’ eyes. Overseen by Executive Chef Jimmy, this station sets the tone for a feast that is both dramatic and indulgent.

Taking centre stage is the Thor’s Hammer Steak, a striking cut inspired by the legendary hammer Mjolnir from Norse mythology. Large, bold and undeniably impressive, the steak is generously coated in a smoky mustard BBQ sauce, delivering robust flavours worthy of its theatrical presentation.

Standing alongside it is the creatively reimagined Roasted Tom Turkey, which breaks from tradition by being stuffed with chicken bak kwa. The sweet-savoury filling adds a familiar local touch, elevating the classic roast into something distinctly playful and unexpected.

Complementing the roasts is Butternut Squash with Chestnut Stuffing, where the natural sweetness of the squash forms a comforting vessel for hearty festive filling. Classic accompaniments such as roast vegetables and baked potatoes round out the station, with condiments including cranberry sauce, black pepper jus and BBQ sauce allowing diners to personalise each bite.

Tableside Indulgence: Tomahawk on Wheel

Adding a touch of luxury and performance is the Tomahawk on Wheel, prepared tableside with flair. The massive cut of beef is carved fresh on the spot and served according to preference — with chimichurri, mustard or simply sea salt. The latter, in particular, allows the natural richness and juiciness of the beef to shine, making it a favourite among purists.

From the Grill and the Sea

Outdoors, the Grilled Station offers an aromatic experience as chefs work continuously over the hot plate. The display of fresh ingredients draws guests in, with offerings including lamb shoulder, chicken chop, jumbo chicken sausages, half-shell scallops and tiger prawns. The prawns, succulent and well-charred, are a standout, embodying the satisfying simplicity of open-flame cooking.

Seafood lovers are further rewarded at the Seafood on Ice station, which features a premium selection of flower crabs, scallops, crayfish and tiger prawns. Fresh, chilled and beautifully presented, this section adds an element of indulgence that balances the heartier dishes.

Pasta, Noodles and Familiar Comforts

The interactive spirit continues at the Pasta on Wheel, where freshly sautéed pasta is tossed inside a glowing Parmesan wheel and finished with a light torch. The result is a creamy, comforting dish prepared à la minute — both entertaining and delicious.

Local flavours make a welcome appearance at the Yong Tau Foo and noodle stations, where guests can customise their bowls with preferred ingredients. Soup options include fish, prawn and chicken, with the option to add Yong Tau Foo pieces for an extra layer of comfort. The fish head noodle soup adds a nostalgic note, appealing to those seeking familiar tastes amid the festive abundance.

A World of Hot Dishes

Beyond the live stations, the buffet line presents an expansive range of hot dishes blending Western and Asian influences. Highlights include braised beef short ribs with star anise and raspberry, baked slipper lobsters with avocado cheese sauce, grilled seabass with spinach cream sauce and tomato confit, and roasted duck with orange glaze.

Comfort-driven dishes such as sweet potato and cranberry casserole, Christmas curry chicken with dried fruits and nuts, wok-fried mussels with ginger and spring onion, and seafood egg fried rice ensure broad appeal across palates.

Warming Bowls and Sweet Finale

For warmth, guests are encouraged to try the Roasted Chestnut and Seafood Bisque, a fragrant, creamy soup that remains light and refined. Those who prefer herbal notes may opt for the Double-Boiled Chicken Soup with Ginseng Tail, offering a soothing counterpoint to the indulgence.

No festive feast would be complete without dessert, and Santa’s Sweet Tooth Corner delivers a dazzling finale.

The dessert spread is playful and abundant, featuring white and dark chocolate Yule logs, a towering croquembouche, gingerbread houses,  cheesecake, pumpkin spice cake, tiramisu, stollen, Christmas bread pudding, a flowing chocolate fountain, ice cream waffles, fresh fruits and festive drinks — a sweet playground that delights both adults and children.
