Don Omakase in TTDI: Where Luxe Donburi Meets Everyday Elegance

August 11, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Tucked away on a bustling stretch in TTDI, Don Omakase is the newest hidden gem for fans of elevated Japanese donburi bowls. Having opened just a month ago, this premium dining spot has quickly made waves with its artful presentation, exceptional ingredients, and omakase-style flair—all served in donburi format for those who crave luxury in every bite, minus the fuss of a full tasting menu.

Sleek, stylish, and intimate, the minimalist interiors let the food take centre stage. The concept is clear: bold, indulgent flavours presented with Japanese precision, at accessible prices.

10 Ocean Don (RM65)

The must-try? The stunning 10 Ocean Don (RM65)—a seafood lover’s dream. This signature bowl features ten delicacies from the sea, including uni, engawa, hamachi, salmon, ama ebi, nama hotate, tsubugai, hokkigai, yuzu ikura, and avruga caviar. Beautifully arranged over perfectly seasoned rice, it’s an Instagram-worthy feast of colour, freshness, and umami.

The Salmon Engawa Don (RM27 Mini | RM45 Regular)

It hits the spot with buttery salmon and rich, tender engawa. Comforting, satisfying, and unpretentiously good.

4 Empires Don (RM128)

Meat lovers will want to try the 4 Empires Don (RM128): a true surf-and-turf masterpiece that combines Japanese wagyu sirloin, uni, yuzu ikura, and avruga caviar in one glorious bowl. It’s indulgent, silky, and every bite is unforgettable.

Uni Foie Gras Don (RM173 Mini | RM288 Regular)

Then there’s the showstopper: the Uni Foie Gras Don (RM173 Mini | RM288 Regular). A decadent duo of creamy sea urchin and rich foie gras, with bursts of briny yuzu ikura tying everything together. If luxury had a taste, this might be it.

Prefer something comforting and nostalgic? The Tamago Mentai (RM15), with its thick-cut Japanese egg topped with creamy torched mentaiko, is pure bliss.

Customise Your Meal

To complete your donburi experience, diners can add set meals from just RM4, including options like miso soup, salad, or chawanmushi turning your lunch or dinner into a perfectly balanced meal.

Don’t Just Eat, Indulge

Don Omakase isn’t your everyday don place—it’s a well-thought-out dining experience that blends fine ingredients with fast-casual appeal. Whether you’re seeking a luxurious seafood feast, a flavour-packed wagyu bowl, or a light yet fulfilling lunch, Don Omakase delivers it all with elegance and ease.
