Wineknot Wine & Iberico Kitchen @ Taman Danau Desa

July 1, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

Wineknot Wine & Iberico Kitchen is a place worth visiting for those who are a big fan of wine and Spanish fusion dishes. Located along the busy street of Taman Danau Desa, Wineknot offers you variety food choices that will make you come back for more.

The restaurant provides cosy personal environment where one can choose to dine in their elegantly designed private rooms to cater needs of personal spaces. One can now enjoy great food pairing with wine. The private rooms provided are perfect for meetings, business talk or even mini events too.

Iberico Pork Collar
(Pairing with 1864 Castillo De Olite Reserva)

We also enjoyed an awesome cut of collar part of the Iberico Pork where the meat offers a rich marble cut. The cut of pork collar comes addictively good and packed with flavours alongside its tenderness texture. This dish delivers explosive juiciness and melts in the mouth sensation which, this indeed sums to a good pairing with the wine. This wine which is awesomely paired with the pork collar makes every mouthful packed a punch in body and well-rounded structure.

Octopus Leg
(Paired with 1864 Castillo De Olite Chardonnay)

For those who are a big fan of seafood, their Octopus Leg is highly recommended and was also one of our star dish. The Octopus Leg is perfectly grilled to crispiness on the outside, juicy and tender inside, leaving you with tangy bites. When this seafood dish is paired with 1864 Castillo De Olite Chardonnay, it will up-bring and lock the freshness from the octopus and create a lively effect.

Spare Ribs
(Paired with Auchentoshan 3 Wood)

For those who are big fans of spare ribs, hit for their spare ribs for sure. The generous portion of spare ribs is beautifully grilled till perfection and it makes a good pairing with Auchentoshan 3 Wood. The pairing is so perfect where the whisky will tone the flavours from the ribs for an extra bit to last.

Iberico Char Siew
(Paired with Voche Crianza)

Fill up your tummy with this unique uncommon dish, Iberico Char Siew. Delectable Char Siew made from iberico meat gives you melts in the mouth sensation. Instead of usual white pork, Wineknot combined the Eastern and Western’s value using this Spanish protein to re-create a Char Siew dish. When it is paired with the Voche Crianza; a savoury wine with well structured body will go well with the sweetness from the meat and its coating.

Sauté Mushroom with Truffle Pate
(Paired with Roku Gin)

Next we had the Saute Mushroom where they were stir fried with generous Truffle Pate. This dish goes well with Roku Gin. When it is paired with Roku gin, the earthy aromas of truffle from the sauté mushrooms blossoms in the mouth.

Spanish Iberico Lamb Rack
(Paird with Voche Reserva)

The Spanish Iberico Lamb Rack is another must try dish here. Tender juicy iberico lamb and paired together with a bottle of premium Voche Reserva is a perfect combination. This lamb rack cut is provided from a full-fed milked sheep from Spain thus, the lamb rack offers amazing juicy rich flavours, unlike usual lamb dishes that has gamy character. Paired together with the Voche Reserva, it brings up the overall flavours and the structure of the meat itself.

For those who are looking for a place to purchase wide range of wines and enjoys porky-licious meals, Wineknot is a highly recommended place for your visit.
