MEET TAIWAN “ASIA SUPER TEAM” RETURNS FOR 2ND YEAR

June 16, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

Business Elites Compete for Incentive Travel Package to Taiwan Worth USD 50,000 and Charity Donation to Winning Country’s Local Beneficiary
MEET TAIWAN, developed by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), today kicked off its annual business competition, “Asia Super Team: Team Up for Good,” to promote Taiwan as top-of-mind destination for incentive travel with charity causes in Asia.
“Asia Super Team: Team Up for Good” is the second year of MEET TAIWAN’s annual multi-national business competition across Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia. The campaign consists of two phases of contests including an online proposal submission and an offline tour to Taiwan to experience the beauty of Taiwan’s incentive resource.
Registration and proposal submission to “Asia Super Team: Team Up for Good“ opens today at asiasuperteam.meettaiwan.com through August 30th, 2015 23:59 (Taiwan time). Public voting opens from August 3rd, 2015 12:00 (Taiwan time) through August 30th, 2015 23:59 (Taiwan time). The champion will win an incentive a package to Taiwan worth more than USD 50,000, and MEET TAIWAN will donate USD 5,000 to the winner’s designated non-profit organization as the grand rewards.
3 Upgrades of “Asia Super Team” in 2015
1.       Wider reach of target markets
“Asia Super Team” widens its target to enterprises located in Asia and Oceania in which markets that offer highest visitor number to Taiwan. In 2015, “Asia Super Team” extends competition invitations to business elites in two new markets, Thailand and Australia, along with Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia.
2.      Deeper significance for business participants
Corporate social responsibilities (CSR) have been factored into two-phase contest – an online preliminary followed by a final taking place in Taiwan – to enable entries to come up with unique incentive travel planning that can boost employee morale, stimulate creativity and social care commitment, and demonstrate both innovation and altruistic business initiatives.
3.      Enhanced incentives for winning business and its country
The champion team can not only win an incentive travel package to Taiwan worth USD 5,000 but also make cash donation together with MEET TAIWAN to a beneficiary that it designates to.  Participants who log in to their social media to vote will be eligible to join a lucky draw of round trip air tickets to Taiwan. The complementary air tickets are sponsored by China Airlines.
How to Participate in “Asia Super Team”
“Asia Super Team: Team Up for Good” consists of two phases of competition including an online competition and a five-day-four-night final tour in Taiwan from October 12th to 16th, 2015, with all expenses covered by MEET TAIWAN.
【Phase 1: Online Competition】The online preliminary invites entries to submit their itinerary proposals which can best showcase their passion and understanding of Taiwan incentive travel environment. The contestant businesses are required to share its proposal on social media to solicit highest public votes for them to enter the final in Taiwan.
【Phase 2: Final Tour in Taiwan】The final in Taiwan enables the business elites from the aforementioned six countries to experience the multiple facets of holding meetings and exhibitions in Taiwan while factoring in three initiatives: local cultural revivals, environmental preservation, and service to the underprivileged.

About “Asia Super Team”
In 2014, MEET TAIWAN launched Asia Super Team, a contest for businesses in Asia as an effort of experience marketing to promote Taiwan as an ideal destination for meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE).
In 2014 Asia Super Team final in Taiwan (https://goo.gl/7cmNhq), four participants from each finalist company took the five-day-four-night competition, where their creativity and team morale were highly aroused by a series of team-bonding challenges including aboriginal hunter training in an indigenous tribe in Leshui, performing a drum session with Grammy nominee Ten Drum Art Percussion Group at the Ten Drum Ciaotou Creative Park in Kaohsiung, and singing popular Taiwanese songs on board Taiwan’s parade floats. The finalist business participants experienced the diversity and vitality of Taiwan incentive travel with an exciting and fun vibe.
The 2015 Asia Super Team combines team building activities with corporate social responsibilities and philanthropic causes to promote a more meaningful incentive travel experience, expand people’s imagination about incentive travel in Taiwan, as well as encourage more enterprise’s consideration of Taiwan as a preferred destination for MICE activities.
