“Spotlight on Good Nutrition with Upcoming Herbalife Nutrition Month”

February 9, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

As the COVID-19 pandemic becomes endemic, good health and nutrition remain more important than ever to develop a strong immune system and protect ourselves against the virus. In line with this, Herbalife Nutrition continues to uphold its commitment to supporting Malaysians in their health and wellness journey.

Building on the results of the Herbalife Nutrition Asia Pacific Health Inertia Survey 2021, in which over 6 in 10 Malaysian respondents reported poor physical and mental health due to the pandemic, Herbalife Nutrition has been ramping up efforts to offer high-quality nutritious products while raising awareness of the importance of adopting healthier lifestyles. A key programme is Herbalife Nutrition Month which is held every year in March.

“As a premier global nutrition company that helps people live a healthier life, we are driven by our Healthy Active Lifestyle philosophy, a way of life that incorporates regular exercise and healthy nutrition to improve overall wellbeing. Each year, we hold Herbalife Nutrition Month, encouraging Malaysians to embrace healthy, active lifestyles,” Steven Chin, Senior Director/General Manager, Herbalife Nutrition Malaysia and Singapore.

“This year, after nearly two years of pandemic-related disruptions, Herbalife Nutrition Month acts as a call to action – empowering Malaysians to achieve their wellness goals. Through events such as virtual workshops and outdoor activities in cities across Malaysia, we aim to put a spotlight on good nutrition and health.”

The upcoming Herbalife Nutrition Month will see a two-day Health and Active Lifestyle (HAL) activity in various cities across the country. Through this initiative, Herbalife Nutrition aims to earn yet another spot in the Malaysian Book of Records for ‘Most Number of Participants in A Virtual Workout Session’. Additionally, Herbalife Nutrition will conduct virtual workshops for its members featuring a leading expert from its Nutrition Advisory Board – Dr. Dana Ryan, Director of Sports Performance and Education, on HERBALIFE24, sports nutrition, and tone up programs.

Leading up to Herbalife Nutrition Month, Herbalife Nutrition will also be hosting a dialogue session themed: “Are Malaysians Getting Enough Nutrition?”. This will feature panellists from the Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM) and Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), covering Malaysians’ perception of nutrition and ways to support better nutrition.

Through its wide portfolio of nutritious product offerings coupled with engagements with the community, Herbalife Nutrition continuously strives to inspire Malaysians to stay active and adopt healthier lifestyle habits. As testament to this, in 2021, Herbalife Nutrition Virtual Run, the highlight activity of the company’s Get Moving with Good Nutrition campaign, garnered more than 5,000 participants in Malaysia, running a total distance of over 321,000km. A Sports Nutrition webinar in partnership with Universiti Teknologi MARA and Institut Sukan Negara also helped to raise awareness on proper nutritional habits, while the Shape Up Your Look for 2022 campaign encouraged Malaysians to gear up for a healthier new year.

As a result of our dedicated efforts, we have been recently named “The World’s #1 Health Shake” and “The #1 Brand in Active and Lifestyle Nutrition” by Euromonitor International Ltd, an independent market research firm. This is an addition to our top rank in the world in weight management and wellbeing, and meal replacement and protein supplements combined. Herbalife Nutrition will continue accelerating efforts to inspire more Malaysians to embrace healthy, active lifestyles via its Herbalife Nutrition Month in March.
