OPTIMAL GROWTH POTENTIAL WITH DUTCH LADY MAXGRO

October 21, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

In a bid to continue its effort in supporting optimal growth amongst children in Malaysia, Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (DLMI) introduces two new packaging sizes for its latest innovation, DUTCH LADY MaxGro. With the aim to provide convenience and value to parents, the two new sizes help children reach their growth potential by providing a nutrient-dense offering. The new serving sizes come in a 405g portion pack that contains 15 sachets, and a 1.2kg twin pack — with two 600g packs.

“For more than 50 years, DLMI has been committed to providing Malaysians with trusted dairy nutrition, and we aim to continue this effort by creating more options on the shelves to meet the various needs of our consumers,” said Ramjeet Kaur Virik, Managing Director of DLMI. “A nutrient-dense diet is vital to help address the malnutrition phenomenon in Malaysia as it is reported that 1 in 5 Malaysian children under the age of five is stunted1, and 1 out of 2 children in Malaysia does not meet the Recommended Nutrient Intake for Calcium and Vitamin D2 — both of which are crucial for children’s physical and mental development,” she added.

Nutrient-dense diet is defined as foods that are rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients important for health and growth while foods that are energy-dense contain a higher number of calories per serving typically due to the excessive amount of saturated fat, added sugars and sodium. For example, parents can replace an energy-dense diet with a nutrient-dense diet by selecting healthier food choices such as, fast food burgers vs. sandwiches, ice-cream vs. plain yoghurt with cut fruits, sweet candies vs. fresh fruits, flavoured milk vs. formulated milk and fried vegetables vs. steamed vegetables.

Suitable for children aged 1 – 9 years old, DUTCH LADY MaxGro is DLMI’s first milk-based formula dietary food and provides children with 80% of the recommended daily nutrient intake (Malaysia RNI 2017)3, as well as packed with essential nutrients, namely 9 Essential Amino Acids (9EAA), Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Calcium and Vitamin D. Other nutrients that can be found in DUTCH LADY MaxGro include Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc, Vitamin A, E, K1, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12 and C. The DUTCH LADY MaxGro is specially formulated to support children’s optimal growth, as testified by real mothers in Malaysia, with 97% of them agreeing they feel satisfied with their child’s height gain after consuming DUTCH LADY MaxGro4.

Apart from proper nutrition, consistent growth tracking is crucial to minimise growth-related risks and identify problems at an early age. In line with its aim to help children in Malaysia reach their growth potential, DLMI introduced MaxGro Growth Tracker — a mobile application that helps parents track their children’s growth, alongside the launch of DUTCH LADY MaxGro earlier this year in January. Since the launch of MaxGro Growth Tracker, 98% of mothers agree they find the growth tracking tool useful to track their child’s growth4. Dialling the user experience further, DLMI is launching a new feature within the app, Growth Predictor, to allow parents to have an overview of their children’s growth projection. Available on Google Play for free, parents can track their child’s growth anytime and anywhere.

In conjunction with the launch of the new packaging sizes and the new feature for the MaxGro Growth Track application, DLMI is hosting an exclusive Facebook Live session on 30 October (Saturday) at 9pm with Adlil Rajiah — early childcare expert, and Miah Chua — Corporate Nutritionist of DLMI, on Nutrient-dense Consumption for Optimal Growth. The live session aims to spread awareness amongst parents on the importance of choosing a nutrient-dense diet for children to support their growing needs. Tune in to the Facebook Live session on the Dutch Lady Moms Club Facebook Page to find out more.

The new packaging sizes of DUTCH LADY MaxGro are available at key retail outlets nationwide, with a recommended retail price of RM 29.90 — 27g x 15 Portion Pack, and RM 68.20 — 600g x 2 Twin Pack. For more information or to request samples, please visit www.smartmoments.com.my.
