Shilla Stay Haeundae Lowers Rates to Promote Conservation

June 8, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

As people observe World Environment Day on 5th June, Shilla Stay Haeundae is encouraging guests to reduce energy levels and make conscious choices to protect the environment with its ‘Shilla Stay Eco Plan’ package.

Available from 1st June for a minimum two-night stay, guests who opt for the ‘Shilla Stay Eco Plan’ package waive housekeeping services in exchange for discounted room rates. By limiting the daily washing of towels and bedding, the hotel can reduce energy levels, save water and lower the amount of chemicals entering the sewer system.

According to the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, 5 per cent of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions is produced by international tourism, with accommodation responsible for 20 per cent of that. At Shilla Stay Haeundae, guests can lower their carbon footprint by choosing not to have their room cleaned, bed made or amenities changed. For guests staying up to five nights, the room will be cleaned every five days.

‘Shilla Stay Eco Plan’ room rates start from KRW 96,800 per night, exclusive of taxes. The exclusive package includes:

–       Standard Room accommodation

–       Free Wi-Fi access

–       Complimentary access to the fitness centre and Aveda amenities

–       Additional face and bath towels at check-in

To fully appreciate the natural landscape surrounding Shilla Stay Haeundae, guests can retreat to the 18/F rooftop for ocean views and picture-perfect sunsets. In June, visitors can unwind in the Finnish sauna or enjoy a refreshing dip in the Jacuzzi. To welcome the warmer weather, throughout July and August the facilities extend to the rooftop bar and pool, allowing guests to lounge poolside, browse the chef’s special dishes or order from the extensive wine and cocktail menu.

Shilla Stay Haeundae guests can also take advantage of the special 10-night package currently available at Shilla Stay properties. Exclusive to online reservations, guests who book 10 nights in any Shilla Stay hotel via the website (www.shillastay.com) or the Shilla Rewards website (www.shillahotels.com) receive one night free.
