STAR CAFÉ, TAMAN DESA

April 8, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

Star Cafe, located in Taman Desa, is a fun filled place to wine and dine, with a chance at catching outstanding performances! On 21st June, 2011, Star Cafe reopened its doors after a year of renovation. The newly renovated Star Cafe presented a marvelous place that encaptures the essence of stardom with good food and overall fun. Outlet has live performances from live band on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Aside, they do have a lounge for customer to relax and enjoy with their friends. We are served with food and delights there.

Rainbow Trout Armandine is one of the famous recommended items there where the grilled trout is being topped with brown almond and butter sauce served with parsley potatoes and fresh veggie. The fish is simply fresh and it is said that the fish is being imported from Singapore. The texture is good too.
Price: RM 37.90

The Duck A’la Orange is where the roast duck is well made in the Orange Zested Curacai sauce which is served with the potatoes and fresh veggies The duck is well cooked and it is served with the tender meat and slightly sweet soury orange sauce with it. It is said that it is one of the recommended dish from the chef.
Price: RM35.00

We also had the Chicken Deminoff is where the quarter chicken is being cooked in creamy wine sauce served with shallots, mushrooms, baby carrots, new potatoes & veggies. The Chicken is tender and its taste is good and mix well with the mushrooms and the baby carrots.
Price: RM 28.00

If you are a pastry lover, the Puff Pastry which is the Fillet Beef Wellington is one of the choices in the restaurant. This is where the beef tenderloin is being wrapped in the flaky puff pastry stuffed with mushroom chicken with turkey ham.
Price: 58.00

Next coming is the Bitter Gourd fried with Seafood and Glass Noodles where the bitter gourd to me is super bitter which is not much of my favorite. If you are bitter gourd lovers, perhaps you will love them.
Price: RM 14.00

We get to taste the Sang Har (Fresh Prawn) Noodles which is one of the favorites where prawns are big. It is served with a prawn and the sang mee is really mix well with the prawns and the taste is really good.
Price: RM 16.00

Love desserts? Vanilla Panna Cota is a classic Italian light and creamy dessert with Orange Toffee Sauce. The desserts is not too sweet which is quite good.
Price: RM11.90

Apple Crumble is a where the delicious Apple chunks baked in nutty topping served with vanilla ice cream and creamy vanilla sauce. The portion is good for one
Price: RM13.90
