Botanica+Co unites flavours & fun this Lunar Mid-Autumn Festival

September 15, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Botanica+Co invites family and friends to get together this Lunar Mid-Autumn Festival as it celebrates the joy of reunion and thanksgiving by introducing warming and delicious Mid-Autumn Festival specialties.

For a limited time from 24 September till 4 October, Botanica will feature alongside its regular menu two seasonal specials: Botanica’s Claypot Chicken Rice and its take on the classic Teochew Orh Nee. Lovingly prepared by Botanica’s Executive Chef Sam Neoh and his team, both these savory and sweet dishes are not to be missed!

Botanica’s Claypot Chicken Rice features a bounty of flavours using fresh and premium ingredients; Japanese rice, pickled vegetables paired with tender chicken thighs marinated in fragrant ginger and goji berries. The hearty dish is topped off with an onsen egg and generous amounts of coriander, leek and bonito flakes accompanied by Botanica’s special house-made soya sauce. Keeping the tradition alive, the dish is served in a classic claypot, accentuating the warm, earthy flavours of this autumn delicacy.

To finish off a perfect family meal, Botanica presents its version of the Teochew Orh Nee, a delightful treat made of hand-grated yam boiled in milk, garnished with ginko nuts, a splash of coconut milk, pandan extract and Botanica’s secret Japanese syrup. Served in an Oriental ceramic bowl, the Teochew Orh Nee by Botanica pays homage to the age-old traditional dessert.

Uniting food and family, Botanica will be hosting a Mid-Autumn Lantern Walk in Bangsar South on 30th September at 6.30pm, keeping alive a popular tradition for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The community walk will gather at 6pm first at Botanica+Co before proceeding to the award winning Central Park just steps away from the restaurant – a 6 acre green gem within Bangsar South.

The first 100 children arriving at Botanica+Co for the Mid-Autumn Lantern Walk will receive a free festive paper lantern to gear up for the excitement.

Alternatively, interested participants can find out more at https://goo.gl/bMm4uh to join in on the festivities.

A special treat not to be missed, the Botanica Claypot Chicken Rice is priced at RM36 while the Teochew Orh Nee is priced at RM22.50 – inclusive of 6% GST.

Botanica+Co Restaurant & Bar is located in Bangsar South at G5 Podium, The Verticals, Bangsar South City, Kuala Lumpur. For more information, visit www.botanica.com.my or call +6016 965 6422.
