Yakumi @ Solaire Resort Entertainment City: A Culinary Journey Through Japan

October 1, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Yakumi offers a culinary journey through Japan, blending timeless traditions with contemporary twists to create an unforgettable dining experience. Known for sourcing the finest seafood, Yakumi ensures that its ingredients are flown in twice weekly from Tokyo’s renowned Toyosu Fish Market. This dedication to freshness sets the foundation for an authentic and vibrant menu, where every dish reflects the essence of Japanese cuisine.

With eight live cooking stations, an extensive à la carte menu, and an inspired beverage list featuring Japanese cocktails and a sommelier-curated sake selection, Yakumi caters to every palate.

Sashimi

Our dining experience began with a selection of sashimi, imported directly from Toyosu Market. The sashimi assortment included Rock Lobster, Bluefin Tuna, Kampachi, and Hokkaido Scallop. Each piece was thickly cut and generously portioned, offering a melt-in-the-mouth sensation. Paired with freshly grated wasabi and bonito soy, the sashimi was an elegant start to the meal.

Sushi

Next, we indulged in a selection of sushi, including Toro Caviar, Hokkaido Ikura, and Conger Eel Sushi. Each bite was a testament to the skillful preparation and premium ingredients, delivering an explosion of flavors that stayed true to Japanese culinary excellence.

Lobster Miso Soup and Foie Gras Chawanmushi

We then moved on to the Lobster Miso Soup, a rich and flavorful broth that was both comforting and luxurious. The silky chawanmushi followed, but this was no ordinary egg custard. Yakumi’s version featured Foie Gras, making it incredibly smooth and indulgent, with the foie gras adding a velvety richness.

Grilled

The grilled selection was a standout, featuring Miso Marinated Gindara and Alaskan King Crab with Miso Mayonnaise. The fish was perfectly marinated, with the miso adding a delicate umami flavor.

We also tried the Robatayaki Char-Grilled Beef, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. For those who prefer alternatives to beef, the chicken option is equally delicious.

Sweet Finale

To end the meal on a high note, we indulged in the Hazelnut Mousse served with Coffee Ice Cream. The rich hazelnut flavor, paired with the creamy coffee ice cream, was a delightful way to conclude our dining experience.

Yakumi combines the finest ingredients, expert craftsmanship, and modern touches to offer an exceptional taste of Japan. Whether you’re a lover of sushi, sashimi, or grilled delicacies, every dish is crafted to perfection, making Yakumi a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience.
