Kampung Contemporary @ SS17: The Fusion Nyonya Delights

September 2, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Kampung Contemporary Dining brings you a taste of home. In here, you can find that Kampung Contemporary Dining brings you with the Nyonya dishes with a twist. Located at SS17, the restaurant comes with the cosy ambience, warm lighted and one can sit down and enjoy a delicious Nyonya delights which is cooked with heart and sweat.

This Asian Fusion Restaurant only uses the finest, freshest ingredients all sourced locally from their trusted partners. Asides, their food contains no MSG,and they uses antibiotic free meats in their cooking. We also know that their sauces and food are made from scratch using the finest ingredients.

Food selection is wide and extensive to where they have good selection of food, and ala-carte meals to go for. This time, we go for their Set Meal for 6 which is reasonably priced at RM 299. The Set comes with the Melaka Pork Satay (6 sticks), Nyonya Assam Fish (Whole Fish), Nyonya Braised Pork Pongteh (regular), Apple Chicken Rendang( 6pc), Charred Cauliflower, Unlimited Coconut Rice and a free mini cendol.

Melaka Pork Satay

The Melaka Pork Satay is one of their signature where the pork satay comes with the chunky meat and served together with the Pineapple Peanut Sauce. The satay comes simply pulpy and juicy and together with the Pineapple Peanut Sauce, it enhance the overall flavours of the pork satay

Charred Cauliflower (RM19)

The cauliflower is beautifully charred till perfection and it is served together with the signature garlic sauce and fresh pomegranate. This is indeed delicious and it brings you with the savoury taste in it with the light twist of sweetness.

Nyonya Asam Fish

The Nyonya Asam Fish comes sinfully good where it fish comes simply fresh and the meat is flaky. The curry comes simply thick and fragrant with the sourish blend in it. It simply goes well with the rice which is a perfect combination.

Babi Cili Garam

As their Ayam Pongteh sold out, we had replaced our dish to their signature Babi Cili Garam. The wholesome dish which is so good and a kick of spiciness in it together with the dried shrimps. They are so good to have it together with rice and the pork is perfectly stir fried with the salted shrimp sambal.

Apple Chicken Rendang

The Apple Chicken Rendang is our favourites. Love the way they made the dish. The rendang comes simply thick and the flavours are well infused into the chicken. The meat is so good and well paired with the lovely chicken rendang. A must to have here.

After a delicious meal, is time to enjoy their homemade chendol desserts. The chendol is made in house my their chef and they and then served with the shaved ice together with the fragrant gula melaka.
