Hong Kong is a worthy place to visit during Chinese New Year. Being a big fan of Hong Kong, we had visited several times to this beautiful country but we are yet to be there during Chinese New Year. Even though, we have plans of visiting them in Chinese New Year this year ; but plans had cancelled due to the pandemic.

One of the popular stores in Hong Kong to grab your Chinese goodies is Yiu Fung Store. During CNY, Chinese often put up some greetings or calligraphy on their doors. And one of the famous places to get them is from the Upper Lascar Row.Lascar Row is the combined name of the two famous streets in Sheung Wan Hong Kong. In here, Upper Lascar Row is a narrow alley in Mid-Levels which runs parallel to Hollywood Road on the north side. The highlight of Upper Lascar Row is the seemingly endless row of antique stores, offering an eclectic collection of Chinese calligraphy, arts and vintage furniture.

Do you know Hong Kong is also famed for their flower market? They are actually a nice place to go for and I always love going there whenever I am in Hong Kong. Whether you are nterested in cut flowers, potted plants, seeds and bulbs or orchids, you’ll find something to interest you at Flower Market Road in Mong Kok. Hong Kong’s premier destination for any type of horticultural interest, this street is dedicated to wholesale and decorative plants, making it an attraction you cannot miss. And in here, you can grab plentiful choices of flowers and plants for your home this CNY too.
Prayers
Whenever in Hong Kong, we also love to visit the temples. And temples is one of the places to visit whenever you are in Hong Kong. There are loads of different temples in Hong Kong and some of the famous one includes the Man Mo Temple, Wong Tai Sin Temple and Chee Kung Temple. So, if you are looking for better grades for your kids, Man Mo Temple is w the one to go for where the temple for the worship of the Civil or Literature God Man Tai (文帝) / Man Cheong (文昌) and the Martial God Mo Tai (武帝) / Kwan Tai (關帝). The two Deities were popularly patronized by scholars and students seeking progress in their study or ranking in the civil examinations in the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Make a Wish in Hong Kong
Travel further north from the New Territories to Sha Tin to Tai Po and visit the Lam Tsuen Wishing Square. It is one of the famous place in Hong Kong to make your wish. It is a famous Wishing Well, where it is the custom to throw in coins and flowers and make wishes for the New Year, for life and happiness and prosperity
