Timeless Traditions at New World Petaling Jaya Hotel

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn festival, New World Petaling Jaya Hotel introduces the tradition of mooncake crafting, with its highly anticipated selection of mooncakes. This year, the hotel offers a tantalising selection of traditional and limited-edition mooncakes with bright red-hued gift box that crafted in a flawless way and given a subtle luxurious finish with the stamping of golden peonies.

Impress your friends and family this festival with hotel’s elegant two-tier mooncake gift box. Mooncakes are a traditional staple during Mid-Autumn festival which occurs between the month of August and September every year. During the Yuan Dynasty, mooncakes were used by the Chinese to plan a rebellion against Mongol government.

Apart from traditional classics like Red Bean, White Lotus, Lotus with Single Yolk, Pandan Lotus with Single Yolk, Durian Lotus and Mixed Nuts, indulge in the special edition of Longan Wolfberries mooncake – a sweet blend of the longan flavoured lotus paste base combined with fragrant wolfberries – a healthier creation. According to Chinese’s traditions, wolfberries are believed to be good for vision and is one of the most antioxidant-rich fruits around.

Purchase a box of four-pieces of mooncakes comprising of Red Bean, White Lotus and the two choices of Lotus with Single Yolk, Pandan Lotus with Single Yolk, Longan Wolfberries, Durian Lotus or Mixed Nuts, all beautifully presented in an elegantly designed and timeless gift box.

‘Timeless Traditions’ is available from 18 July to 13 September and is priced at RM128 nett per gift box of four pieces. Advance purchase is available from 18 July till 31 August and valid for 15 % off. For bulk purchase, 20% discount is given for 20-50 boxes purchased; and 25% discount for 51 boxes and above purchased. All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and inclusive of prevailing government tax where applicable.
