It is indeed a great place for a dine and even a drink. Located in Bangsar, Kouzu did not disappoint us with the varieties of dishes with the twist of Japanese fusion.

Kouzu is located in Jalan Telawi 3 which is just a blocks away from the Bangsar Village. The restaurant is simply beautiful where it brings you with the colourful vibrant art at the back.

Dobin Mushi (RM22) is perfectly prepared. Comes with the steamed dashi, shrimps, chicken, fish, and shitake in a teapot. The broth is light and yet complete with the sweetness from seafood and meat which is cook inside.

Moving next, we had the healthy salad where we are served with the salmon trout salad (RM 25). The Atlantic salmon sashimi is served together mix salad, cucumber, fennel, tomato cherry, beet root and truffle wasabi vinaigrette. The salad comes simply fresh and every mouthful is perfect and indulging.

Momotaru Brushchetta (3 pcs) (RM 18)
Perfectly a fusion combination. Have the deliciously done brushchetta where the momotaru tomato, mango, feta cheese, parsley, basil leaf, garlic, olive oil and honey balsamic vinegar. The taste comes simply flavourful and ends with the hint of sourish taste.

Blue Fin Tuna & Foie Gras (RM 29)
Coming next is the sinfully dish which is the Blue Fin Tuna & Foie Gras. Have this delighting herbs seared maguro which is served together with the foie gras, apple chutney and unagi sauce. It is simply well paired and the blue fin tuna is perfectly sous-vide where the texture is moist and remains juicy.

Bonito Agedashi Tofu (RM 10)
For those who love tofu, you can have the fried Japanese Tofu where they are furnished with the bonito flakes, onsen tamago, ankake, scallion, and shoyu ankake sauce. The tofu is soft and velvety in the inside while outside remains crispy. Nicely done!
Avocado Miso Gratin (RM 26)
It is indeed a fusion dish where one can enjoy the baked avocado together with the scallop, crab flakes, ebiko, shitake and the piquant miso all in one. The dish comes sinfully good and melts in the mouth.

Salmon Kabuki Roll ( RM 18)
Have the Salmon Kabuki Roll where you can enjoy the sliced salmon, ebiko, foie gras, cucumber, caviar, chives, avocado pulp, wasabi mayo and topped with the teriyaki sauce on top. It is such a beautiful combination and the dish is heavenly.

Sanuki Udon Pasta (RM 19)
Have the slurpilicious udon where the udon is well “saute” and topped with the dried chili, hijiki seaweed and tomato cherry. Chef added some truffle oil to bring up the overall taste.

Halibut Misozuke (RM 28)
For those who are fans of fish, do order the halibut fish which is perfectly baked and served with their special miso, parsnip mash, caviar and truffle oil with it. Love the fragrance blend of truffle oil.

Asides from that, they do have a variety of yakitori choices for you to go for. The varieties includes sirloin, short ribs, ox tongue, rock lobster, squid tentacles, shitake, king mushroom, sweet corn, soft bones, gizzard, and many more. Each are priced from RM 5 onwards.

Ends your meal with their desserts. The Banana Chocolate Bar (RM 22) caught our attention after the first scope. Deliciously layered with the banana sponge, chocolate mousse, fruity comport, crumble, and rum and raisin ice cream. This is sinfully addictive and I am totally indulge with this.

Asides, do try their sake too.

Besides from ala-carte menu, they have wide choices of lunch sets which is simply affordable. They are all at RM 19 only.
