BORDEAUX, BEAUJOLAIS + EXTREME CUISINE EXCLUSIVE DINNER NEW PERSPECTIVES

Taste the uncommon. Another fascinating beverage + dine taste adventure is in prospect on Thursday, June 02, 2016, at The Glaz Bar and The Reflexions, Plaza Athénée Bangkok, A Royal Méridien Hotel.

The June event in the one-of-a-kind Exclusive Dinner New Perspectives June series introduces wine lovers to sommelier-selected vintages of the world-famous Bordeaux and Beaujolais red + white from some of the premier vineyards of France.

Five special beverages will be arrayed for a convivial tasting accompanied with specially created canapes at The Glaz Bar adjacent to the hotel’s elegant lobby:

·         Sauvignon Blanc, Bordeaux, Château Les Reuilles
·         Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, Bordeaux, Château Les Reuilles (Red)
·         Bordeaux, Chateau Frontenac, (Red)
·         Premières Côtes de Blaye, Château Gigault, (Red)
·         Beaujolais, Le Marquis d’Arcelot, L’Orangeraie, Seigneurie d’Arcelot (white)

Guests are then invited to enjoy the beverages paired with 03 selections from 06 dishes of the modern French style cuisine they inspire in The Reflexions’ team of exceptional chefs led by one of the major talents currently plying his art on the Bangkok fine dining scene, Chef Mark Ian Jones.

For an appetiser choose from Salad of grilled mackerel salt beetroot, balsamic and olive oil OR Watercress velouté, royal project crayfish tails, lamb sweetbread and garlic purée.

Move on to 36-hour slow cooked rump of Australian lamb, slow roasted plum tomato, verdi, roasted courgette & eggplant caviar OR Plancher roasted sword fish, confit of heirloom tomato black olive oil, arugula pesto
And conclude on another crescendo with Raspberry and vanilla sablé, crème patissière, raspberry sorbet OR Chilled white chocolate rice pudding, poached apricot.

A selection of either Sauvignon Blanc, Bordeaux, Château Les Reuilles or Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot, Bordeaux, Château Les Reuilles is offered to complement the dishes, with 01 bottle complimentary for two paying guests.

The beverage tasting begins at 18:00 hrs with dinner served from 19:30 hrs.
THB 1, 800++ per person includes the beverage tasting and 03-course dinner, as mentioned, with a complimentary 01 bottle of special beverage for 02 paying guests.

Guests with special dietary requirements are requested to kindly contact the restaurant manager in advance.
