NEW MENU AT CRISTALLO DI LUNA @ PACIFIC REGENCY KUALA LUMPUR

September 9, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Cristallo di Luna brings us with the existing journey of food and not just that, they have good view overlooking the city scape by the pool. The restaurant not just bring us with a great view with the location at 34th floor is simply amazing. The whole concept is indeed elegant and the ceiling brings us with the promise comfort and luxury. The restaurant not just beautiful but with the night view is simply amazing.

We started with the great appetizer where we started with the Re-invented Buffalo Mozzarella stuffed in Roma Tomato, Pine Nuts, Arugula and Basil Emulsion (RM 15) where we are being served with the light appetizers which is simply well done. With the combination of tomato and buffalo mozzarella, it is indeed brings us with a surprise where the mozzarela cheese is hidden inside the tomato. The appitizers is so good!

Next item is the Warm Seared Scallops and Prawn with Ruby Red Grapefruit, Orange & Frisee Salad, Piquillo Coulis (RM 30) which is elegantly presented to our table. The scallops and prawns comes pretty fresh and the combination and flavours is amazing. The bouncy textures of the scallops accompanied with the hints of sweet flavours indeed give me two thumbs up.

The Soup – Kaffir Scented Lobster Soup with Sea Scallop, Coconut Foam (RM 30.00) comes interestingly good and the lobster soup comes fragrant and creamy. The rich and creamy lobster bisque is such a luscious soup to go for with the intense lobster flavours.Including with it is the huge scallops which made it even perfect and good-licious and it is so hard to say NO to it.

As for the mains; we had the Grilled Tenderloin of Black Angus Beef, Pommes au Dauphinoise, Fricassee of Wild Mushroom, Glazed Baby Onions, Morel Jus, Truffle Scented Oil (RM 80). The juicy-licious temptations with the great cut are simply delicious. The two inch steak medallion is well cooked by adding the truffle oil had made the piece of meat so luscious and yet so addictive. I am hungry! just looking at it

Oven Baked Cod Fillet, Mascarpone and Asparagus Orzo Risotto, Flying Fish Roe, Saffron Butter Sauce (RM50.00) is one of my favorite where the cod fish comes buttery and yet it is simply rich and flaky. Every mouthful comes simply heavenly!

Chef Eddie does not disappoint us on the mains but he made a surprise to us on the desserts too! Espresso Crème Brule with Vanilla Foam and Macadamia Ice Cream; ‘Teh Tarik’ Ginger Panna Cotta, Kaya Butter Toast; Chilled Strawberries, Passion Fruit & Mango Soup in Pavlova Bowl ; where each of every one melts your heart.

Espresso Crème Brule with Vanilla Foam and Macadamia Ice Cream (RM 20.00) comes impressively good where the aroma coffee is distinct and it make a good match with the savory Macademia ice creams. Awesome.

As for the ‘Teh Tarik’ Ginger Panna Cotta, Kaya Butter Toast; Chilled Strawberries (RM 15) is absolutely one of the recommended delights here. The Kaya Butter Toast is a killer o f the night where hubby enjoy having them so much.

Last but not least, the Chilled Strawberries, Passion Fruit & Mango Soup in Pavlova Bowl (RM20) comes sweet and yet with the light sourish blend. The taste of the passion fruit and chilled strawberry in it combines with the sweet pavlova make the right balance and makes it so nice.

Overall, it is a great dining experience for great food with the romantic ambience.
