INTERCONTINENTAL KUALA LUMPUR’S SERENA BRASSERIE OFFERS ‘IN THE KNOW’ TEATIME TASTE SENSATIONS

January 15, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

InterContinental Kuala Lumpur’s esteemed Serena Brasserie is offering visitors the chance to connect with the culinary heritage of their destination, with an authentic ‘In the Know’ Malaysian High Tea experience priced at RM72++ per adult and RM36++ per child under 12 years old.

Launched on January 2014, the refined afternoon tastings will take place every Saturday between noon to 4pm, and will include an al fresco cooking demonstration for dine-in guests between 2.30pm to 3.30pm, complete with complimentary recipe handouts.

The ‘In the Know’ Malaysian High Tea experience will present guests with lip-smacking and sumptuous variety of Malaysia’s traditional cuisine. Starting with Malay specialities like Nyonya curry laksa, nasi lemak with condiments, beef rendang minang style, sambal sotong and stir-fried squid with turmeric.

Celebrating the diversity of Kuala Lumpur’s culinary traditions, the menu will also include Indian favourites such as chicken tandoori, vegetable dalca with ribs of lamb and lamb beriani.

Meanwhile, a Chinese selection offers classics such as chicken rice with roasted and steam choices, assorted yong tau foo, char kway teow, sweet and sour fish, stir-fried beef with ginger and much more.

End the satisfying feast on a sweet note with local tea-time favourites such as ABC, assorted Malay kuih, pandan cream caramel, banana cream brulee and layer cake.

For more dining reservations or for more information on Serena Brasserie’s ‘In The Know’ Malaysian High Tea, call +603 2161 1111 or email [email protected] or visit us at www.intercontinental-kl.com.my.
