Le Méridien Petaling Jaya Introduces Elevated Weekend High Tea Buffet – Chef Edition

September 17, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

An epicurean journey awaits every weekend at Pasar Baru, Le Méridien Petaling Jaya, as the hotel redefines the high tea experience with its newly launched “Elevated Weekend High Tea Buffet – Chef Edition.”

From now through the coming months, guests are invited to indulge in a lavish weekend affair featuring a rotating lineup of celebrated chefs, each bringing unique culinary creations to the buffet. Every edition presents a fresh interpretation of Malaysia’s rich gastronomic heritage, elevated with refined execution and bold flavours.

For the month of July, food lovers can savour signature dishes from two guest chefs: Chef Akmal’s Grilled Mongolian Lamb, boldly spiced and expertly grilled for maximum tenderness, and Chef Celven’s Northern-style Prawn Mee, a hearty noodle dish steeped in a rich, umami-laden broth that pays homage to Penang flavours.

A highlight of the buffet is the Live Carving Station, where chefs personally serve roast lamb leg table-to-table. Guests can request their preferred slice thickness for a custom dining experience. Complementing the star dishes are local favourites such as Sotong Kangkung, Pasembur Rojak, and a variety of grilled meats at the BBQ station, including Tandoori Chicken, Grilled Fish, and Spiced Lamb.

Adding to the excitement is Chef Adam’s signature Laksa Station, where the classic noodle dish is prepared à la minute, offering comfort in every bite. The spread continues with dishes from themed sections like Nusantara Remix, Spice Symphony, Taste of Tradition, and Western Elegance — showcasing everything from Seafood Risotto and Gulai Kawah, to Herbal Chicken and Chicken Pot Pie.

Young diners are also well catered to, with a dedicated kids’ corner serving Cheesy Pasta, Meatballs, Onion Rings, and a delightful Chocolate Fountain.
