Fan Hua @ TTDI – Where Modern Chinese Flavours Meet Soulful Soundscapes

April 24, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Tucked away in the bustling heart of TTDI, Fan Hua isn’t your typical Chinese restaurant – it’s a contemporary tapas bar that fuses elevated Chinese cuisine with live music and moody vibes. Think low-lit ambience, a warm golden glow, silhouettes dancing under the stage lights, and a soundtrack that wraps around your meal like a velvet ribbon.  Here, dining feels like a performance – each dish choreographed to perfection, every bite in tune with the music. It’s the kind of place that turns a simple dinner into a full sensory experience.

And for this time, we are amazed with their food and some of the food we tried includes their Signature Lazi Chicken, Stir Fried Honey Glazed Crispy Pork Belly and many more.

Stir-Fried Honey Glazed Crispy Pork Belly

Sweet, sticky, crispy – this dish hits all the right notes. The pork belly is beautifully caramelised on the outside while staying juicy on the inside. It’s indulgent without being too heavy, and dangerously addictive.

Fan Hua Signature Lazi – Chicken Edition

A modern take on the classic Sichuan-style “Lazi” stir-fry, served with a mountain of dried chillies. We opted for the chicken version, and it delivered that satisfying mala kick, balanced with a smoky aroma that kept us coming back for more.

Signature Crab Claypot Rice with Salted Duck Egg

This was the showstopper. The moment they lifted the lid, we were hit with that rich, savoury fragrance of salted egg and crustacean umami. The rice at the bottom was perfectly charred – that coveted crispy layer giving every spoonful texture and depth. Pro tip: mix well before serving to get all the flavours in one bite!

Stir-Fried Celtuce with Smoked Chicken

A refreshing contrast to the heavier dishes – the celtuce (a crisp, lettuce-like vegetable) brought in a delicate crunch while the slivers of smoked chicken added a subtle depth. Light yet satisfying.
Fan Hua is more than just a place to eat – it’s a destination. Perfect for date nights, intimate gatherings, or just when you want to escape into a world of flavour and sound. Come for the food, stay for the music, and leave with your senses fully satisfied.
