Selera Serantau @ One World Hotel Petaling Jaya

 It’s that time of the year again, and One World Hotel is excited to welcome the fasting month this year at their brand-new Cinnamon Coffee House. This Ramadan, diners can look forward to a rewarding culinary experience that is sure to tantalize their taste buds.

The Cinnamon Coffee House is a spacious venue with a seating capacity of up to 600 people. The restaurant features a captivating combination of lush greenery on the outside and modern, subtle Oriental touches on the inside, making it the perfect place for families, friends, and business associates to gather and ignite the Ramadan spirit.

At the brand-new Cinnamon, diners can experience the journey from raw ingredients to the plate and bowl through the restaurant’s live interactive kitchens, creating dishes bursting with flavor and unparalleled choices. With more than 100 dishes on 4 rotational menus, the buffet spread is rife with an array of international and local flavors.

Let’s start your gastronomic journey with the massive variety of Ulam, Kerabu, and Dates to refresh the palate after a long day of fasting. Malay mains such as Bubur Lambuk, Ayam Rendang Minang, Daging Gulai Utara, Dalca Kari Kambing, Ketam Berchili, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Gulai Ikan with Bendi, and Soups like Sup Gearbox, Sup Tulang Rawan, Sup Ekor and much more are offered in the rotational menu.

The highlight of the buffet is undoubtedly the well-marinated, succulent whole Roasted Lamb and its condiments, a must-try on the list. Apart from the Roasted Lamb, the buffet spread features traditional authentic kampung food such as Roasted Chicken Percik style, Roasted Marinated Whole Beef Tenderloin with Mixed Condiments, Murtabak, various types of ikan panggang, assorted grill satay, Opor Daging Masak Pekan style, Gulai Kawah Kambing, and lots more. No Ramadan feast would be complete without the ‘Goreng-gorengan’ station, where diners can enjoy keropok lekor, pisang goreng, keledek, and other deep-fried treats.

 If you are not a big fan of Malay cuisine, there are other delicacies to break fast with, such as the Chinese station, where you would not want to miss out on the signature Hainan Chicken Rice, Szechuan Hot & Sour Soup, Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Dried Scallop and Cordyceps Flower, Seafood Cantonese Fried Noodles, and much more.

Hopping to the Indian station, Prawn and Lamb Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Massaman are some of the items on the counter. The seafood counter offers Slipper Lobster, Tiger Prawns, Blue & Black Mussels, alongside a wide variety of seafood on ice such as fresh Oysters, Crabs, Prawns, Mussels, and much more.

Japanese foodies will also be pleased to see the sight of a luscious spread of assorted Sashimi and Sushi as well as the Tempura live station. 

To culminate the evening on a sweet note, enjoy the heavenly desserts that one must try for a contented tummy. Be treated to delectable desserts such as Assorted Malay Kuih, Pulut Serawa Durian, Ice Kacang, Cendol, assorted Agar-Agar, assorted cakes, six different types of ice cream, and many more.

Guests can enjoy the live Ghazal music performance while they dine, from March 23rd to April 20th, 2023, starting at 7.00 pm every evening.

For Muslim guests who need to perform their religious duties, the hotel offers a designated prayer room (Surau) on the Concourse Level, complete with prayer mats and an on-site ablution facility. This ensures that guests can comfortably perform their religious obligations before breaking their fast.

The highlight of the Selera Serantau promotion is the sumptuous buffet dinner at the Cinnamon Coffee House, available from March 23rd to April 21st, 2023, from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The dinner is priced at RM208 net per adult or RM104 net per child (6 to 12 years old) and senior citizens (60 years old and above). For guests who book and pre-pay from February 22nd to March 22nd, 2023, the hotel is offering an Early Bird Special with rates of RM168 net per adult or RM84 net per child (6 to 12 years old).

Guests who prefer a more exclusive dining experience can opt for the Selera Serantau 2023 Banquet Package Promotion, which can be organised in the hotel’s versatile function rooms. With a minimum of 300 persons, guests can enjoy complimentary usage of the hotel’s LED screen and a whole roasted lamb.

For guests who wish to make a staycation or getaway during the fasting month, the hotel is offering a special Selera Serantau Room Package. This package includes an overnight stay, breakfast or Sahur for up to two persons, Selera Serantau Buffet Dinner for up to two persons, and other perks. Room rates start from RM699 nett onwards per night.
