Jing Ze Asian Contemporary Cuisine @ Section 17

March 7, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

A unique Asian Contemporary Cuisines is something you would definitely attract many. The place I called heaven when it comes to the food here. The restaurant is located in Section 17, Petaling Jaya brings you with something different to dine instead of those normal Chinese restaurants.

The beautiful interior with the wooden chairs and round table. The restaurant is well decorated with the cosy interior and also an open concept of the kitchen. You can watch your chef cooking in front.

Beef Tartare

We started off with their Beef Tartare. The Beef Tartare is deliciously presented and topped with the spring onions on top.  The aromatic flavors of the beef tartar is just so good and it is served with their home made XO Chips. The XO Chips is well paired together with the beef tartare and the taste is not gamy at all. It brings up the overall flavors  of the dish and we wipe the clean plate and shiny.

Grilled Stuffed Wings with Snake Bean Curry

A dish I loved the most. The Chicken Wings bones is delicately taken off their bones and they are then beautifully stuffed with the meat and added with their homemade curry paste. It is perfectly delicious where the curry flavours are well enhanced with the light spiciness from the herbs that is added. Love the robust flavours of the dish itself.

Cabbage Heart

The Cabbage Heart is something to look forward in Jing Ze.  The cabbage is perfectly braised for 4 hours ensuring that it is soft and moist. It is then grilled and topped with the beautiful thin sliced of daikon on top. Sides with the aromatic creamy sauce and kuih kunyit at the sides. And once a bite, you can taste the soft texture of the cabbage itself and inside is filled with the complete sweetness in it.

Aged Hiramasa Kingfish Crudo

Have this awesome delicious delights where the aged hiramasa Kingfish is well roasted lightly and then served with the burnt cream with the mustard.   And this awesome dish comes rich but the mustard sauce is not overpowering. Love the taste of it.

Pearl Grouper

The Pearl Grouper is elegantly presented to our table. The grouper fish comes simply fresh where the meat comes simply flaky and moist.  The delicious grouper meat comes awesomely good where they are topped with the sweet and sourish lemon dressing and topped with onions, stripes of cucumber and beans. Garnished with the bunga kantan which makes the whole dish even more aromatic.

Roast Sanchoku Wagyu

This is sinfully delicious and the premium wagyu beef is pan fried till perfection.  The meat comes simply good which is moist and juicy. It is cooked with the black garlic, green sauce and salsify. Sides with half mushroom topped with the chopped spring onions.

Smoked Mulard Duck

Have this delicious Smoked Mulard Duck where the duck is smoked till perfection.  And using the Malaccan famous ingredients- Buah Keluak. The duck is well cooked for around 20 minutes and sides them with the fermented cabbage. There is no gammy taste from the duck meat itself and the meat comes simply tender and moist.

Legian Village

Grab their special creation from Jing Ze. The tempura pumpkin served with the glutinous rice which is mixed with some gula melaka. It is then sides with the deep fried pumpkin, and a scope of soothing pumpkin ice cream.

Chili Lime Granita

End with the appetizing and bursting with spice palate cleanser.  The Chili Lime Granita comes with pickled ginger, with chilly and ice, coconut ice cream. The taste is very well enhanced and the taste comes unique.

The 5 months old restaurant indeed impressed me and also many loyal diners too. What’s more creative is you can watch the chef cooked in front of you. To know more about Jing Ze, check out their facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Jing-Ze-Contemporary-Asian-Restaurant.
