COMO The Treasury introduces Helicopter Day Trips to WA’s Wine Country

September 12, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

COMO The Treasury has launched a new wine immersion experience in partnership with Millbrook Winery in Western Australia. This is designed for visitors to Perth who want to experience Western Australia’s famous food and wine, but don’t have time to make the six-hour drive to the Margaret River wine region.

The experience starts in the early morning, with a helicopter tour over Perth that takes in iconic vistas of the Swan River and Cottesloe Beach, before flying to the Millbrook Winery. The estate is surrounded by the forests of Jarrahdale, with undulating hills and large lakes, making it feel a world away from the bustle of Perth’s city centre.

At Millbrook, guests will experience a wine blending session — with their own blended wine to take home — as well as a tour of the grounds, discovering what it takes to run one of the largest vineyards in Western Australia.

The Millbrook restaurant, where lunch is served, has sweeping views of the surrounding Jarrah forest. The meal will be prepared by Head Chef Guy Jeffreys, named 2017 Chef of the Year by the West Australian Good Food Guide. Jeffreys’ innovative menu changes seasonally, with much of the cuisine sourced from the winery’s own garden, with over 100 varieties of hand-grown heirloom vegetables, as well as stone fruit, citrus, figs, apples, herbs, free-range eggs, olives and honey sourced from the estate. The food is always designed to complement Millbrook’s award-winning vintages, which are expertly paired with the meal.

The Millbrook Winery Experience includes:
●        Two nights at COMO The Treasury in a Heritage Room
●        Return transfers to and from the Rotorvation helicopter base
●        Return helicopter flights to Millbrook Winery
●        Wine blending and a bottle of unique wine to take home
●        Chef’s menu for lunch at the Millbrook Winery with matched wines
●        A tour of the Millbrook Winery gardens with one of the chefs

The Millbrook Winery Experience is priced at Priced at AUD 3,995 for two people.
