WOK DISH WAY, KOTA DAMANSARA

Wok Dish Way is one of the places where where you can find the authentic Hakka Meals. What is the most famous among the Hakkas and it is said to be a healthy meal too. “Lei Cha” is getting hard to find now and if you are a fan of “Lei Cha”, you may hop to the Wok Dish to grab a taste of it. To start with, we are invited to review on the food here and the shop is located just opposite Courts and a few blocks away.

The Lei Cha ( 擂茶) is the Hakka tea-based beverage or gruel consisting of a mix of tea leaves and herbs that are ground or pounded together with various roasted nuts, seeds, and grains. The Buzidao Lei Cha (步滋道擂茶) is being served in Wok Way Dish comes with two styles where the rice can be served with the plain rice or with the fried rice.

Buzidao Lei Cha (步滋道擂茶)

The Buzidao Lei Cha (步滋道擂茶) comes with the set with assorted vegetables like cabbage, dried radish, plenty of nuts,chopped long beans, tofu, pickled as well as fresh vegetable. The meal is complete when you poured the Lei Cha into the rice and the ingridients into it.

Buzidao Lei Cha with fried rice(步滋道擂茶炒饭 )

If you preferred to have it with fried rice, you may choose to as well. The Buzidao Lei Cha with fried rice(步滋道擂茶炒饭 ) is having the same ingridients like the normal lei cha but the only different is the rice is being changed to fried rice.

Special TeoChew Fried Kuey Tiao (招牌蛋香潮州果条)

Next we get to try their Traditional Teochew dish. The Special Teowchew Fried Kuey Tiao is very special in their preperation where the Kuey Tiao which is being wrapped with egg is being slow frurf till perfectionist and added with the gravy which is unique. It is being served with pork, fishballs as well as prawns with it.

Curry Chicken (咖喱鸡)

Next we had their Curry Chicken (咖喱鸡). The curry Chicken is served with the thick gravy and the chicken is being cut into cubes to be served. The chicken is well cooked alike the Nyonya style where the gravy is thick and the chicken meat is tender as well. The curry chicken taste nice and the gravy mix well with a bowl of rice. It is also added with potatoes in it.

Claypot Vinegar Pork’s Trotter (砂煲猪脚醋)

Here comes the Claypot Vinegar Pork’s Trotter (砂煲猪脚醋) which is one of the typical confinement dishes to new mummies. In olden days, you can only taste them if there is any new mummy around the neighbourhood. Now, you can have them at many places. In here, the Claypot Vinegar Pork’s Trotter (砂煲猪脚醋) is being cooked the day before to ensure that the taste is good.Aside, the brooth was slightly sour, spicy and sweet with the lean meat comes with it. This is well made and having them with rice is really appetizing.

药材鸡 Herbal Chicken Soup


We also had the药材鸡 Herbal Chicken Soupwhich is well cooked and the soup really taste well with the herbs and chicken taste. It is indeed a refreshing and full of good ingridients in it. The soup is served with a bowl of rice as well.

Nanru Pork (南乳炸肉)

Nanru Pork (南乳炸肉) is one of our favorites here the pork is well deep fried till golden brown. The meat is very savoury as well as juicy as well. It is well made alike char siew style.
Price: RM8.00 (small) & RM15 (big)

We ended our meal with the sweet desserts. Red Bean dessert is being served to end our meal tonight.
