RAMA V, JALAN U THANT (REVISIT)

Rama V is a thai restaurant which is a magnificent pool of lotus blossoms, quietly tucked away from the busy district of Kuala Lumpur. Rama V had been voted as the Top Food 40 status by Time Out Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant is well designed and has a nice environment with the authentic food. Here we are again in Rama V for a delicious well made Thai Cuisine.

Flower shape dumplings, another name will be Chor Ladda. It is a blue dumplings stuffed with chicken and shrimp. It is one of the chef picks and recommended dish of the shop.

Miang Kham is a traditional snack from Thailand which is often sold on streets. The ingredients includes purple onion, fresh red or green chilly pepper, ginger, garlic, lime, roasted peanuts and small dried shrimps are often added to the mix. Other ingredients that may also be added to the mixture are pieces of cashew nut instead of peanuts and little pieces of sour green mango. It is served with betel leaves and sauce on the side.

Yam so muen is pomelo Salad with Minced Chicken & Shrimp. It is where the minced chicken and shrimp are being cooked and added to with pomelo and their secret recipe and sambal.

Yam ma muen is usually known as Kerabu Mango among Malaysians. The special thing here is it is served spicy and served with cashewnuts

Som tam – Spicy Papaya Salad with Peanut.

Tod mun pla is one of the famous foods in Thai Cuisine. The fish cake is being deep fried and served with peanut sauce.

Tom Yam Kai Reu Kung Reu Talay is one of the famous delights in the shop. The soup is served spicy with seasoned lime juice and hot pepper. It is served with appetizing seafood.

Kao Ob Sub Pa Rod is where the fried pineapple rice with shrimp coral and pineapple. The pineapple fried rice is well fragrant and it is served with pineapple, raisins, peas, shrimps and egg served on a plate and not on an empty pineapple but totally Delicious!

Kao Pad Rama V is one of the famous signature foods and it is well known in the shop. It is not spicy.

Pla Kod Sam Rod is a deep fried garoupa fish serves with 3 taste of chilly sauce.

Gaeng Kaew Wan Nuer Reu Kai Reu Kung is another options aside having tomyam. The green curry has 4 options to choose which chicken, beef, prawns and venison are. We choose the beef options which is absolute nice and the texture is well made.

Hoi Shell Pad Nor Mai Farang is stir fried sea scallops with asparagus. The dish is not spicy.

Kar Pad Khing On is the stir-fried Lamb with Young Ginger in Oyster Sauce. The lamb is very tender as well is very juicy. Well made!!
