A little white coat, a baby doll waiting for a check-up and a thermometer ready to use—LITTLE DR: Play, Learn, Heal! gave children the opportunity to explore everyday health and care through a familiar childhood favourite: playing doctor.
Organised by Parenthood Media and ByeBye-FEVER, the programme was designed for children aged three to eight, bringing together guided role play, interactive activities and family participation. It offered little ones a chance to ask questions, explore simple health concepts and practise caring for someone else.

The first LITTLE DR event took place on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at MyToday, Atria Shopping Gallery, Petaling Jaya. Held in conjunction with ByeBye-FEVER Day, the session brought children and parents together for a playful introduction to everyday fever care and cooling comfort.
Making Health Learning Approachable for Little Ones
Health can feel like a complicated subject for young children. LITTLE DR approached it through activities they could see, touch and take part in, giving familiar objects and everyday situations a place in their imaginative play.

One of the programme’s highlights was “Why Do We Get Fever?”, presented by Dr Lai Yew Mai, Family Medicine Specialist at Sena Clinic. The session introduced children and parents to the subject in an accessible, age-appropriate way, opening up conversations about what happens when someone feels unwell.

For curious little minds, it was an opportunity to explore a topic they may already have encountered at home, with parents taking part in the learning experience alongside them.
Little Doctors, Doll Patients and Plenty to Discover
During the Diagnosis session, baby dolls became patients as children checked their temperatures and looked for clues that might suggest they were feeling unwell.
The activity gave children a simple introduction to observing and asking questions. A doll’s check-up became an opportunity to practise paying attention, listening and thinking about how someone else might feel.
That sense of care continued during the Treatment session, where parents joined in as their children’s “patients”. Through guided role play, the little participants examined Mum or Dad and identified aches and pains, bringing familiar family situations into the activity.
Everyday comfort and protection products, including ByeBye-FEVER products and other family-care items, were introduced as part of the experience. With parents involved, the activities created opportunities to talk about feeling unwell and the small things people do to care for one another.
A “Fast Aid Kit” and a Certificate to Take Home
The role-play journey continued with the Prescription session, where children filled their special goodie bags, called “Fast Aid Kits”, with products featured throughout the programme.
These included ByeBye-FEVER cooling patches, ByeBye-BUG mosquito-repellent patches, Salonpas® Pain Patches and spray, and OMFA Vitamin C.
Every participating child also received a certificate of completion to mark their LITTLE DR experience—a keepsake from their day of exploring, asking questions and stepping into a new role.
Learning to Notice, Listen and Care
One of the most appealing aspects of LITTLE DR is how it makes room for children and parents to participate together.
Checking a doll’s temperature, asking a parent where it hurts or listening to a pretend patient all give children something concrete to do. Within those simple actions are opportunities to practise attentiveness and kindness.
For Parenthood Media and ByeBye-FEVER, the aim is to offer children an early introduction to health and care through experiences that feel familiar and engaging. The programme encourages curiosity and confidence while giving families a shared starting point for conversations about looking after themselves and others.
From a parenting perspective, that shared involvement is a lovely part of the experience. Parents can join the play, listen to their children’s questions and help them connect the activities with everyday family life.
