D’CUISINE @ PLAZA 33

April 27, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

d cuisine

D’Cuisine serves a mishmash of Chinese, Peranakan, Asian and Fusion dishes. A place which I often pop in for lunch where the portions are huge and taste were good. Located in Plaza 33, D’ Cuisine is located in the hidden lot which is between the Barn Thai as well as the Coliseum.

It is such a great to dine. Walking in to D’Cuisine brings me a homey feel, with the dimmed light and wooden table. Upon arriving, we are greeted with a smile, and lead to our sitting. The menu is held and upon flipping the menu, I can say the menu is simply comprehensive. Comes with the wide variety of dishes to go for where you can find the mishmash of Chinese, Peranakan, Asian and Fusion dishes.

d cuisine

We started off with the Caramelized Orange Calamari (RM 19.00) where you can get the fresh squid battered and then is being deep fried till golden crisp coated with the fresh orange infused with the caramel. The calamari comes simply good with the crispy bites and appetizing too. It is a good way to start to off our meals.

d cuisine

Next is the signature of D’Cuisine – Mongolian Smoked Duck (RM 19.00).The boneless premium smoked breast of duck which is topped with their appetizing zesty Mongalian Sauce that give a blend of of spice and sweetness in it. The Smoked Duck comes simply moist and juicy too.

d cuisine

As for the Taiwan 3 cup chicken set (RM 26.80) ; the delights comes awesomely good where the marinated chicken is cooked with the imported Taiwanese Soy Sauce and loads of mint leaves, shallots, dried chillies and garlic in thick, sweet, savoury and spicy sauce in it. I love the fragrance of the mint leave combined with the tender chicken meat.

d cuisine

As for the Yam and Seafood Hot Pot Set (RM 32.80), it is indeed well done with the fresh yam stone ground and infused into the seafood stock with the fresh seafood in it. The gravy comes flavourful with the hint of yam and the seafood are fresh too.

d cuisine

For those who are big fans of curry, try their salmon curry noodles (RM 22.00) where you can get a tatse of the classic boneless Norwegian salmon in their homemade curry soup based with the Hong Kong Yee Mee. Slurpy noodles with the creamy blend of curry are sinfully addictive but the curry taste is not too spicy though.

d cuisine
Huge portion of their signature platter- D Cuisine Peranakan (RM 26.00) is a good meals to enjoy for big eaters. Their signature platter combining of the deep fried whole leg chicken served with the prawn sambal and coconut milk rice. Nicely done with the kick of light spiciness of the sambal in it.

d cuisine

Complete your meal with the signature desserts here at D’Cuisine.Famed for its Bake Banana Filo with Butter Caramel and Vanilla Ice Creamarfait (RM 16); the fresh banana is wrapped in the Filo Pastry, baked an topped with screwpine infused butter caramel sauce and served with the premium homemade ice cream.

d cuisine
Another item is their Black Sesame Pudding with the Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream (RM 19.00). Do order them when you are having your mains as the item need to have 25 minutes of preparation. Black Sesame lover would love it! Instead of using the usual chocolate, D’Cuisine had made a twist by using Black Sesame instead. The volcanic creamy Japanese Black Sesame pudding ooze out with the thick creamy black sesame is sinfully good. Served together with the homemade vanilla ice cream.

d cuisine
Ends with a cup of drink- Blackout (RM 13.00) that comes simply refreshing where the cup of black current and yogurt blend indeed capture my heart when I had a sip of it.

If you are looking for a decent meal, with a nice environment D Cuisine perhaps would be good choice of meal. Oh ya, they do served good coffee too.
