“6 IN 1 + P60 PROMOTION” AT SPICE MARKET CAFÉ, SHANGRI-LA RASA SAYANG RESORT & SPA

Spice Market Café is an informal buffet-style restaurant. The establishment’s authentic Chinese, Indian, Nyonya-Baba, Japanese, Thai, western and other international cuisines reflect Penang’s heritage as a cultural crossroad. This time, I had a visit to Spice Garden where I can sample till the fullest with the debuts of a special buffet promotion “6 in 1 + P60”

Get prepared for a gastromic adventure with the myraid of choices and here diners are able to taste 6 cuisines all in one buffet where it covers from the Japanese, Western, Indian, Chinese, Malay and some carefully crafted desserts. Rotation on the menu will be done fortnightly. Not only that, they have their special promotion which even tempt you more to have your visit there where diners are to “Pay 60% of the actual buffet price only” on Monday and Tuesday. In other words, a 40%-discount is applicable for those who dine-in Spice Market Cafe on Monday and Tuesday. Prices for other days of the week remain unchanged.

We started with the spread of salads, greenies and assorted types of breads in their buffet spread. Hot soup and greenies to pamper your tummy before heading for more goodie foodies here.

In the Indian Corner, you will be pampered with lots of the delicious dal, curries, roti canai and more. The authentic thick curry is so flavourful with the lips smaking spicy dishes. The counter do serves you with the tandoori as well which is perfectly a great meal to start off.

Satay counters are also available in the buffet spread too. Dipped your satay in the thick peanut sauce is such a perfect indulgence where you can have a great spread of the delicious satay sauce on your skewers.

As for the Western Delights, you will be sure to complete with the pizzas, pumpkin and ricotta cannelloni, Braised Beef Stew with Olive and Artichoke, Chicken Milanese On Tomato Coulis and more. Each items are carefully selected and bringing plentiful of choices to the diners here.

Not to forget, they have roasted lamb in their buffet spread too and rest assured that you will be completely pampered with the lovely indulgence of juicy moist roasted lamb.

The next counter is all about Chinese Cuisine where you can find the Si Chuan Delights in their spread. The Kong Po Chicken, Si Chuan Hot Soup and also the variety of spicy dishes from China.

If you love to have some Penang delights, do pamper yourselves with the Yong Tau Fu, Koay Teow Soup or even with their Asam Laksa too in their spread of buffet.

Well, nothing beats some Japanese and Seafood temptations for sure to end your mains before moving to the desserts corner. Pamper yourself with the seafood on ice where you can find all yummy licious seafood from Mussels, Scallops, Yabbies/ Crawfish and Prawns on the bed of ice. Dipped them with your favorite sauce like Orange Jalapeno Dressing and Peanut Wasabi to give your more flavoursome taste of the seafood itself.

Still not enough, they have free flow sushis and sashimi. Complete your self with makis and also fresh salmon, tuna and more at their Japanese Counter.

Not to forget the sweet note to ends the heavy meal. Assorted cakes are available in their buffet spread also available to pamper your self too. A variety of petite of cakes is available in the buffet spread is truly pamper our tummy. The creamy texture cake which is deliciously done and plentiful of choices are available in the spread itself.

Not only having the cakes, they do have more like Malaysian Nyonya Kuih, Ice Kachang, ice creams and more.

Well, for kids they have a kids corner too ; where the little ones can get their own food there at the kids corner
Prices for the buffets are as follows:

International Buffet Dinner: Sunday to Thursday
From 6:30pm to 10:30pm.
Rm 128++ (Adult), Rm 64++ (Child)

Seafood Theme Buffet: Friday and Saturday
From 6:30pm to 10:30pm
Rm 148++ (Adult), Rm 74++ (Child)
