LUCKY DESSERT (發記甜品) , SUNWAY GIZA

October 24, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

Lucky Dessert (發記甜品)a new outlet which will be serving desserts as like what you can get in MY HONEYMOON as well as Dim Pun Gor Gor. The dessert shops will be giving a trilling and fascinating experienced with the exquite flavor, tanralizing taste, lingering top quality, and a healthy fine dessert of Hong Kong. Now they have their very first outlet in Malaysia in Sunway Giza.

The restaurant itself is originated from Hong Kong and it is one of the most popular dessert restaurants in Hong Kong. The establishement of this shop is backed to 1998 where they had their first shop in Sheng Tseng and now it grows 9 chain restaurants includes in Yuen Long, Mongkok, Grand Tower and more. The dessert house is also being visited by pop HK Stars like Wayne Lai and more. It is also featured in many HK and Japan Magazines as well.

From the menu, I can say the restaurant is covering almost everyone favourites here. It not only having normal desserts choices but they also provides a wide range of food choice series from pancake, glutinous rice roll, crispy rice roll, soya bean series, pudding and jelly series, herbal jelly series and much more. They also have the choices having hot soup. I can say, the restaurant can be providing everyone choices and is a good place for a gathering as well. I can say I am fortunate today as we have a chance of tasting the Hong Kong chef to serve us for the night.

Mango Roll (芒果糯米卷) which is the first dessert served where the fresh mango is being wrapped by the loh mai and covered with the delighting coconut floss. The mango original sweet taste is really a blast and the combination was great. The fresh coconut floss is indeed superb as well. I can say this is indeed a superb combination.
Taste: RM 5/5
Price: RM 12.00

– The plate of delighting Mango Wrapz-

– Alike wantan isn’t it? –

– The closer and inside view of the creamy Mango Wrapz-

Mango Wrapz(芒果班戟) is something special which I can judge from the look. From the look I am expecting the durian wrapz more. The wrapping is alike a big wantan where the mango is well wrapped with the golden yellow thin skin. Inside it, you can see the thick slices of the mango and fresh cream in it. The fresh cream is not sweet and it suits old and young.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 10.00

– The creamy Trinity Mango Delights-

– A scoop with the Fresh Mango-

Trinity Mango Delights(招牌杨枝甘露) which is the well blended and mix with fresh mango, sago and pomelo. The mixture of the Trinity Mango Delights is quite thick. The taste is not too sweet which is situable for everyone.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 11.00

– Colorful desserts –

– The long Herb Jelly alike Udon-

Itallian Herb Jell-O (黑珍珠 + 意大利凉粉条) is where the herb jelly is served with watermelon, and honey dew. The presentation is given me an idea of mee udon and the taste is simply too herbs. The herbal taste is too thick which is not much my favorite and the leong fan is too thick. For leong fan lovers, I think they will fall in love with it.
Taste: 3/5
Price: RM 13.00

Trinity Durian Delights (榴槤飘香) is one of the UMPPH one! Before the meal is being served to the table, you can simply grab a smell of the durian. It is served with pure durian where you can see the durian flesh in it as well with the combination of sago and pomelo. The extraordinary taste of the delights and I am still wondering if they are using D24 durian in it. The overall taste is creamy as well as original durian. Durian lovers will be sure to fall in love with it.
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 11.00

Durian Krisp (焗榴槤酥皮卷) is one of the eyes catching one. From the look of it, it has the Christmas feel. The icing sugar is being pour over and is a big thumb up! The durian is being blended and being toast till crispy. It is served hot and is really mouth watering till crispy. It is served hot and simply mouth watering and burning taste
Taste: 5/5
Price: RM 15.00

Lucky Purple Rice (金栗紫米露) is a combination of sweet corn , hak loh mai and red bean. The meal is quite sweet. It is nice when taking during the cold day.
Taste: 3/5
Price: RM 8.00
