Common Man Coffee Roasters Delivers a Brunch Experience Built on Craft

June 25, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

There is no shortage of cafés promising quality brunch and serious coffee. What distinguishes Common Man Coffee Roasters is that it approaches both with the same level of discipline.

Established in Singapore in 2013, the brand has long been associated with specialty coffee culture, but its appeal today rests equally on its food. Here, brunch is not treated as an afterthought to the beverage programme. It is given the same attention to structure, ingredient quality and balance that one would expect from a kitchen confident in its identity.

The Full Breakfast is a good example of that confidence. Eggs any style, chicken chorizo baked beans and artisanal sourdough may sound familiar, but familiarity is precisely what makes execution so important. The dish succeeds when each element feels considered rather than routine, and Common Man understands that.

More ambitious is the Aglio Olio Barramundi, which introduces a slightly more elevated note to the brunch format. The pan-seared fish, paired with garlic confit and Parmesan-Reggiano, offers enough savoury depth to justify its place beyond the standard café repertoire. It is composed, flavourful and quietly refined.

The Duck Leg Confit Curry is perhaps the menu’s boldest expression. Rich, comforting and unexpectedly paired with a buttery croissant, it strikes an appealing contrast between structure and indulgence. There is a sense here that the kitchen is willing to stretch the boundaries of brunch without losing control of the plate.

To finish, the Common Man Churros close the meal on a lighter, more playful note. The addition of coconut flakes and gula melaka caramel lends regional warmth to a classic format, giving the dessert a distinctly local flourish without feeling forced.

And then there is the coffee, which remains the brand’s strongest credential. Common Man Coffee Roasters has built its reputation on specialty roasting and brewing, and that foundation continues to inform the entire experience. The result is a brunch destination that feels credible not because it chases trends, but because it does the fundamentals exceptionally well.

At its best, luxury in brunch is not about excess. It is about care, consistency and the confidence to let good ingredients speak clearly. Common Man Coffee Roasters understands that distinction — and that is what makes it more than just another café.
