A Symphony of Steam and Sizzle: Grand Imperial Kuala Lumpur Redefines Dim Sum with Global Flair

November 3, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Dim sum is a beloved culinary tradition that brings families and friends together over steaming baskets of bite-sized delights. At Grand Imperial KL, a name synonymous with refined Cantonese dining, the experience is now elevated with an exciting new lineup of dim sum dishes that blend tradition with creativity.

Modern Twists on Classic Favorites

The new menu introduces bold combinations while staying true to authentic craftsmanship. Guests can start with the Pan Fried Chicken Bun, a comforting favorite given a golden crust for added texture. Adventurous palates will be delighted by the Deep Fried Stuffed Brinjal in Thai Style, which offers a touch of spice and fragrance inspired by Southeast Asian flavors.

Seafood lovers are in for a treat with dishes like the Deep Fried Prawn Roll with Rice Vermicelli & Cheese, balancing crunch with creamy indulgence, and the Deep Fried Prawn “Chee Cheong Fun” in Japanese Style, where East Asian influences meet Cantonese tradition. The Steamed “Siew Mai” with Prawn & Fish Roe adds a burst of ocean freshness to a dim sum classic.

A Celebration of Texture and Flavor

Texture takes center stage with the Deep Fried Bread Roll with Milk, a crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside delight.

Meat lovers will appreciate the Deep Fried Village Chicken with Ginger Sliced, which pays homage to rustic flavors elevated by fragrant ginger.

For a vegetarian-friendly option, the Braised Mushroom with Broccoli in Oyster Sauce offers a wholesome balance of earthiness and crunch.

Meanwhile, the Braised HK Egg Noodle with Minced Pork & Tiger Prawn in XO Sauce captures the essence of Hong Kong street-style noodles with a luxurious touch.

Sweet Finishes

No dim sum journey is complete without dessert, and Grand Imperial KL presents a refreshing finale with the Chilled Lemongrass Jelly with Longan & Peach. Light, fragrant, and subtly sweet, it cleanses the palate and leaves diners with a memorable finish.

A Culinary Experience at Grand Imperial KL

The New Dim Sum Menu at Grand Imperial KL highlights the restaurant’s philosophy: respecting the roots of Cantonese cuisine while embracing modern innovation. Each dish is crafted with precision, offering guests not just a meal, but an experience to savor.

Whether you’re a dim sum traditionalist or someone eager to explore new flavors, this menu promises something delightful for every diner.
