Gempita 29 Malam: A Grand Ramadan Feast at Corus KLCC

February 25, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

As the holy month of Ramadan draws near, a time of reflection, gratitude, and togetherness begins to unfold. It is a season of spiritual renewal, where families and friends gather to break their fast in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. In celebration of this sacred time, Corus KLCC proudly presents “Gempita 29 Malam,” an extraordinary Ramadan buffet that promises a feast like no other.

From 3rd to 27th March 2025, guests are invited to experience a culinary journey that pays homage to Malaysia’s rich gastronomic heritage, featuring a lavish spread of traditional delicacies and international favorites. More than just a buffet, this is an immersive dining experience, where the essence of Ramadan is celebrated through flavors, traditions, and shared moments of joy.

Set within the inviting ambiance of Dondang Sayang Coffee House, Gempita 29 Malam is designed to delight the senses and evoke nostalgia through carefully curated dishes that showcase the diverse flavors of Malaysia.

At the heart of this grand feast is the signature Kambing Golek Kuah Percik, a slow-roasted lamb masterpiece, meticulously marinated in an aromatic blend of spices and coconut-infused gravy. With its succulent, melt-in-your-mouth texture and smoky, charred perfection, this dish is the star attraction, drawing diners back for more.

Beyond this centerpiece, the buffet unfolds into a symphony of bold flavors and comforting classics, each dish prepared with the utmost care to ensure an authentic and unforgettable dining experience. From robust Malay curries to fragrant grilled meats, hearty soups, and delicate kuih, every dish tells a story of heritage, passion, and time-honored culinary techniques.

The buffet lineup is a testament to Malaysia’s rich culinary diversity, bringing together the best of Malay, Indian, Chinese, and Peranakan cuisine, along with a selection of international delights. Among the standout dishes that guests can look forward to are:

Ikan Keli Berlado – Deep-fried catfish generously coated in a spicy and tangy sambal sauce, offering an irresistible combination of heat and zest.

Sup Kambing Mamak dengan Roti Benggali – A deeply flavorful and aromatic mutton soup, slow-cooked with a medley of local spices, served with slices of thick, fluffy Benggali bread for the perfect accompaniment.

Gulai Kawah Kambing dengan Nangka Muda – A soul-warming dish featuring tender lamb stewed with young jackfruit, cooked in a fragrant curry infused with coconut milk and traditional spices.

Ayam Buah Keluak – A unique Peranakan specialty, this dish features chicken braised with the earthy, nutty essence of keluak nuts, creating a rich and complex flavor profile.

Complementing these highlights, guests can indulge in an array of live-cooked dishes, such as freshly grilled seafood, sizzling stir-fried noodles, hand-rolled sushi, Middle Eastern kebabs, and an interactive roti canai station. The variety ensures that every diner, from lovers of traditional Malay cuisine to those seeking international flavors, finds something to savor.

A truly remarkable iftar experience is never complete without a sweet conclusion, and Gempita 29 Malam presents an extensive selection of traditional Malay kuih and international desserts. Guests can enjoy:

An assortment of classic Malay kuih, such as Kuih Seri Muka, Kuih Lapis, Onde-Onde, and Kuih Ketayap, each offering a delightful blend of coconut, pandan, and palm sugar flavors.

A decadent spread of French pastries, cheesecakes, chocolate pralines, and artisanal ice creams, perfect for those with a penchant for Western sweets.

Refreshing beverages such as Teh Tarik, Air Bandung, fresh coconut water, and an assortment of tropical juices, providing the ideal thirst-quenchers after a long day of fasting.

Every element of the buffet, from the main courses to the desserts, is designed to transport guests on a nostalgic culinary journey, rekindling cherished memories of home-cooked feasts while also offering new and exciting flavors to discover.

Beyond the sumptuous spread, Gempita 29 Malam is about more than just food—it is about celebrating the spirit of Ramadan. The buffet setting at Corus KLCC fosters a sense of community, joy, and connection, making it the perfect place for families, friends, and colleagues to gather.
