A Memorable Evening at Quivo Restaurant in TRX

On a warm evening in TRX, I found myself drawn to the inviting glow of Quivo Restaurant. Known for its eclectic Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, I was eager to experience the flavors and ambiance that have made it a local favorite. As I stepped inside, I was immediately captivated by the chic and cozy atmosphere, with its warm lighting and tasteful décor creating a welcoming haven.

Seated comfortably with a view of the bustling open kitchen, we perused the menu, excited by the array of tantalizing options. The friendly staff recommended a few signature dishes, and we decided to embark on a culinary journey through their most popular offerings.

Appetizers

Bisque de Marisco

My adventure began with the Bisque de Marisco, a decadent highlight of the evening. This smooth and creamy seafood soup was a luxurious treat, brimming with the flavors of crab, shrimp, and clam. The hint of parsley added a fresh note, creating a harmonious and deeply satisfying dish that I savored with each spoonful.

Creamy Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms 

The Creamy Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms were a revelation. These deep-fried cremini mushrooms were crisp on the outside and wonderfully creamy inside, with a spinach parmesan velouté stuffing that was rich and indulgent. The truffle aioli added an extra layer of umami, making this appetizer both sophisticated and satisfying.

Main Courses

Sizzling Garlic Prawns 

Next up were the Sizzling Garlic Prawns. As the dish arrived, the aroma of garlic and chili oil filled the air. The prawns were plump and succulent, perfectly sautéed with charred jalapeno. Each bite was a burst of flavor, the heat from the jalapeno balanced by the fragrant garlic. The toasted garlic bread served alongside was perfect for mopping up the delicious oil, ensuring no drop was left behind.

The Wagyu 

For the main event, I couldn’t resist The Wagyu. This burger was a masterpiece. The 220gm beef patty was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. Topped with crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, caramelized onion, and homemade cheddar cheese sauce, each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes. It was a hearty, satisfying burger that left me thoroughly impressed.

Seafood Pesto Pizza 

The Seafood Pesto Pizza was a delightful surprise. Topped with American scallop, shrimp, crab meat, and mozzarella, each bite was a burst of oceanic flavors. The basil and coriander pesto base added a refreshing twist, making the pizza both unique and delicious. The perfectly baked crust provided a satisfying crunch that complemented the soft seafood toppings.

Angel Hair Aglio Olio with King Fresh Water Prawns

A signature dish at Quivo, the Angel Hair Aglio Olio with King Fresh Water Prawn was a harmonious blend of simple yet robust flavors. The angel hair pasta was tossed with garlic, semi-dried tomatoes, and smoked peppericoncino, creating a light yet flavorful base. The chargrilled water prawn atop the pasta was perfectly cooked, adding a touch of elegance and a burst of fresh, smoky flavor.

Zaatar Chicken Kebab. 

These Middle Eastern style chicken kebabs were a flavorful delight. The saffron couscous was fluffy and aromatic, while the tomato feta salad added a refreshing, tangy contrast. The truffle aioli brought a touch of luxury to the dish, making each bite rich and satisfying. The chicken was perfectly seasoned with Zaatar, ensuring a well-rounded and delightful flavor profile.

Overall, Quivo Restaurant at TRX delivered an exceptional dining experience. From the warm and inviting ambiance to the meticulously crafted dishes, every aspect of my visit was memorable. The combination of high-quality ingredients, skilled preparation, and a welcoming atmosphere makes Quivo a top choice for anyone looking to indulge in a culinary adventure in TRX. Whether you’re in the mood for seafood, burgers, or Mediterranean-inspired dishes, Quivo promises a dining experience that’s both delightful and satisfying.
