Ramadhan Buffet 2024: Santapan Kampung Nelayan @ Westin Kuala Lumpur

Celebrating the upcoming month of Ramadan and fostering family and friends’ connections at the Ramadan Buffet with the theme “ Kampung Nelayan”  at The Westin Kuala Lumpur from March 14 to April 7, 2024. And this time around one can indulge in with the awesome delights and delicious food from their traditional and popular delights which is perfectly prepared by their restaurant’s culinary team led by Chef Hamid Buyong at The Westin Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysian Coastal Village Cuisine

The highlights for the buffet is bringing you the variety of seafood dishes coming all the way from the Malaysian coastal village. Some of the signatures includes the Spicy Clams, Green Chili Catfish, Fried Chili Catfish, Fat Snail Cooked with Chili, Pineapple Curry, Reed Snail Cooked with Ginger, Prawn with Stink Bean Sambal, Prawn with Chili Egg, Pineapple Prawn Curry, Fish Head Curry Bendi, Tamarind Fish Head Curry Bendi, and many more. All these dishes will be served in rotation throughout this special month.

Four Special Rendang Dishes

Nothing will be complete without enjoying their rendang dishes. And this time, one will not be disappointed with their variety of rendang dishes which is specially curated by their chef which includes the Prawn Rendang, Cockle Rendang, Green Village Chicken Rendang, and Pahang Beef Rendang. The Rendang dishes will be accompanied by White Lemang, Black Lemang, Palas Ketupat, Coconut Leaf Ketupat, and paired with Meat Floss, Chicken Floss, and Coconut Floss.

Muara Grill

For those who love grill, the buffet is indeed a great one to enjoy with their awesomelicious grill dishes from their live roasting station, ‘Muara Grill,’ located behind the restaurant, at the entrance.

Muara Grill will showcase Malaysian favorites, including Rotating Spit-Roasted Lamb, cooked with two different recipes alternately every day. Visitors can also savor Maghribi dishes paired with Kabsah Rice and Saffron Eggs, or Spiced, served with Terengganu Oil Rice and Saffron Eggs, Coriander, and Black Raisins. Also featured at ‘Muara Grill’ are Muar Otak-Otak, Stuffed Grilled Fish, and Turmeric Squid.

In addition to traditional dishes, there is also a special Bubur Lambuk station serving hot rice porridge with condiments, Chinese and Indian dishes, children’s favorites, and a noodle counter.

Kak Su & Abang Pit’s Sweet Kitchen Section

And of course, one can enjoyed their delectable sweet offerings from their desserts selection. This includes the awesome delightful selection all the way from the Kak Su and Abang Pit’s Sweet Kitchen Section. Various desserts such as Black Glutinous Rice Porridge, Banana Sago Dessert, Green Bean Porridge with Durian, Dodol, Fermented Cassava, and Glutinous Rice Fermented Cassava, Ketayap Cake, Seri Muka Cake, Sambal Spring Roll Cake, Talam Cake, Cut Ice Cream, and many more.

To accompany all these luxurious dishes, The Living Room will offer a variety of drinks, including Malaysian favorites such as Pulled Nescafe, Neslo, Danok Green Tea, Beloved Foamy Iced Tea, Corn Milk, Cincau Soy Milk, Basil Bandung, Lychee Ribena, and Iced Coffee.
