Wood & Grill @ Paradigm Mall: The Modern Peranakan Delights

November 29, 2022 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review Leave a Comment

Being a big fan of food, I recently found out about the hidden jewel in Paradigm Mall. Located on the ground floor of the mall, there is a HALAL Peranakan Fusion Delights which is worth the visit.

By the name of Wood & Grill, you can expect not just the usual Peranakan dishes but they are modern Peranakan – Inspired Dishes which are from Melaka and more than that.

Nyonya Salad

Here, they offer wide choices of delights which is worth the visit. We started our meal with the Nyonya Salad which is served with chopped romaine, Japanese cucumber, cherry tomatoes, water chestnut, lotus root, crispy wonton skin and coriander vinaigrette. The salad comes simply appetizing and each mouthful is deliciously good.

Udang Masak Lemak Nenas

Another must have is the Udang Masak Lemas Nenas which comes with appetizing and deliciously curry base. It is perfect to go with the rice and you will definitely say YES for more. The Udang Masak Lemak Nenas is served with the Tiger Prawn, semi–ripe pineapple, curry lemak sauce and also asam keping with it.

Nyonya Grilled Meat Platter

The awesomely prepared platter that one will definitely love. The grilled platter is deliciously made and grilled to perfection leaving you with the fragrant char taste and each mouthful is divinely good and delicious.

Duo Sotong Kangkong

The Duo Sotong Kangkung comes perfectly good and they are served with the deliciously juicy grilled squid and sotong Joo Hoo, kangkong timbale. Drenched with their hearty peanut sauce. Yummy!

Sambal Goreng Chilli Fried Rice with Ayam Goreng Chilli Garam

This is pretty a unique dish. We love how they are made and served. In here, the Ayam Goreng is beautifully deep-fried till perfection and brings you crispy bites.  Enjoy them with spicy petai fried rice, minced chicken, tiger prawn, special goreng chilli sambal, and basil in it. Love the unique taste of it!

Confit Goreng Chilli Octopus Pasta with Crispy Chilli

Confit Goreng Chilli Octopus Pasta with Crispy Chilli is another MUST try here. We love how they have made the confit goreng chili garam with the Spanish octopus. We enjoyed how they had prepared it where it is being cooked for 4 hours. Served together with fiery sambal spaghetti, dried shrimp, tomato, crispy chilli, mixed salad and coriander.

Fruity Rojak Bowl

We love the Rojak Bowl here. The wholesome bowl of fruity rojak bowl comes with seasonal raw fruit chunks, crispy bean curd puff, house-made peanut sauce, ZERO petis udang. They are perfectly done and deliciously made.

For those who are looking for an awesome meal in Paradigm Mall, this is a MUST place to visit.
