Niama Hotpot @ Aman Suria : A taste of Mum’s Cooking

September 19, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

For those who are looking for delicious hotpot, her is the place. This time we his outlet is pretty amazing to use such daring name. Niama Hotpot at Aman Suria had opened its door back in Nov 2020.

In here, Niama Hotpot brings tribute to everyone’s mother and according to the owners, there is a story behind its name. Niama Hotpot would love to bring a taste of home to all the patrons to dine here. And some of the recipes and dishes is prepared by the owners’ parents.

What makes the restaurant special is on its decoration and interior for sure.  The restaurant brings us the vibes of the olden days where you can get witness a little thing we see and use during our childhood. One can actually spot the old tvs, refrigerator, and more there.

Not just that, their drinks are served just how our mother’s or great grandmother use where you can have. Drinks are served in bottles too where we can say we rarely saw this now!

Started off with their hotpot, Niama Hotpot comes with great hotpot package where it comes with RM 98 Package which cater for 1-2 pax, RM 198 for 3-5 pax and RM 398 for 8-10 pax.

As for the broth, one can enjoy a wide variety of soup which is the bone soup, tomato soup, mala soup, prawn soup and curry soup. And this time, we had their Set for 3-5 pax which is at RM 198.  The set comes with the choice of Half Pot of any 2 Soup Base or Full Pot of Any 1 Soup Base. One can enjoy the Hashbrown Curry Minced Pork, Lucky 7 Beancurd Rolls, Niama XL Handmade, Cabbage  Pork Dumpling, Pork Ball, Beancurd Sheets, Fuzhao Fishballs, Fish Roe Bags, Niama Cheese Sausage, Homemade Luncheon Meat, Pork Belly Slices, Pork Bacon Slices, Delicious Tiger Prawn, Spinach Noodles and Carrot Noodles.

The ingredients come simply fresh and each of the ingredients are carefully selected and ensuring the best ingredients they can find. Not just that, some of them are homemade by their parents itself such as the Cabbage pork Dumpling, Niama XL Handmade and many more.

Their dumpling are indeed so good where it is packed with flavours and it is just like the taste of home.

Another MUST order is Fish Roe Money Bag which is packed with the Fish Roe inside. They are marvellously delicious and we are getting our 2nd plate of this.

We love the Hashbrown Curry Minced Pork. The hashbrown is made in house and they are deep fried till perfection. It is then side with the Curry Minced Pork which is so flavourful and complete with the light spiciness.

And something catch my attention is Hotpot with Prawn Soup. It is my first time trying this but after the first sip, I am sold. The broth is fragrantly boiled with the prawn head as like we usually enjoy Har Mee. It is so good and complete with the sweetness but with the light spiciness.

The Pork Bone Soup comes with the light creamy base broth and it have the sweet hint of pork in it. Yummz.

If you are not a big fan of hotpot and prefer to enjoy some comfort meals, they do have bowl rice too. One can enjoy the wide variety of rice set from the Signature Braised Pork Rice with Boiled Egg, Luncheon Meat Omelette Rice, Steamed Pork Potty on Rice with Fried Egg, and many more.

The Signature Braised Pork Rice with Boiled Egg (RM 10.80) is indeed a comfort dish for most of us. The perfectly made braised pork comes really awesome with the chunky and yet flavourful minced meat. Served together with the boiled egg. Just like how mama cooked.

Juicy Pork on Rice with Boiled Egg (RM 12) is another dish to go. I love how the chunky full of collagen pork belly is cooked. They are so tender and juicy and infused with all the flavours. Perfectly delicious to me!

If you are looking for delighting meals and a taste of mum’s cooking, Niama Hotpot is indeed a place to go for!
