MOON RABBIT TREASURE CHEST MOONCAKES BY THE WESTIN KUALA LUMPUR

August 30, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

The Westin Kuala Lumpur invites you to celebrate the Chinese tradition of the Mid-Autumn Festival with an array of divine mooncakes. From 13 July till 12 September, guests can purchase mooncakes containing different flavourful fillings, set in a selection of themed packaging.

With eight (8) traditional baked skin mooncakes flavours to choose from, guests can take a pick from traditional flavours such as Assorted Fruits & Nuts, Lotus, Lotus with Single Yolk, Red Bean and Golden Emerald (Pandan) with Single Yolk to modern selections which are also new collection for this year such as Chocolate, Noble Delight (Dragon Fruit) with Single Yolk and Royal Fairy (Osmanthus) with Single Yolk.

The full moon on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival symbolises celebration of union, love, health, longevity and great fortune. Traditionally, mooncakes were baked and sent to relatives as gifts of family reunion. Now, mooncakes are typically offered between friends, families and colleagues.

The Westin Kuala Lumpur mooncakes make great gifts and this year’s selection of packaging is more contemporary that is simple yet elegant with whimsical note. YUÈ Series I Moon Rabbit Treasure Chest is designed with the concept of transporting individuals back to the old world charm of lunar worship. Inspired by the tale of the mystical and enchanting Jade Rabbit who calls the moon as its home, it keeps the beautiful goddess Chang’Er company in the Moon Palace. From the Chinese folklore, The Jade Rabbit is seen as a noble and benevolent creature to whom offerings are often made during Mid-Autumn.

This tale has been adapted by The Westin Kuala Lumpur and transformed beautifully into Moon Rabbit Treasure Chest design. The gift box with 2 drawer features allow guest to tailor its functions according to their preference. It can be a jewellery box for ladies, storage box for men or other functionality.

The Moon Rabbit Treasure Chest comes in 2 different colours; Teal that conveys our wishes for relaxation, revitalisation and rejuvenation and Blue for calm, peace and tranquillity.

The Moon Rabbit Treasure Chest (set of 4 mooncakes) allows guests to choose any four (4) flavours out of the eight (8) available flavours.

Price : RM238 nett per gift box

Alternatively, all baked skin mooncakes can be purchased individually in their basic wrapping for RM38 nett per piece.

What’s more, The Westin Kuala Lumpur mooncakes will also be available at Pavilion Shopping Mall from 23 August to 11 September 2022.
