Three on Canton Presents the Matcha High Tea

July 11, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

From now until 1 October, Three on Canton launches a Matcha themed high tea. Dainty Japanese savouries are paired with exquisite sweets that highlight delicate matcha flavours. Enjoy the petite delights with a choice of coffee, scented floral tea, a cocktail or mocktail.

The unique experience adds a sense of excitement – not to mention making your friends on social media drool – with the tea set being presented in a flurry of dry ice. As the magical plumes disperse, the chef-crafted treats whimsically emerge. Together with the stylish grey ceramic utensils and colourful desserts, guests are in for a deliciously refreshing afternoon indulgence.

The high tea features 13 mouthwatering chef-crafted delicacies. Savoury treats include Citrus Marinated Salmon with Matcha and Lemon Béarnaise Sauce, Green Sandwiches with Chicken and Avocado, Mini Charcoal Burger and Tamagoyaki with Ponzu Sauce.

A tempting selection of bite-sized matcha desserts includes Matcha Sakura Mousse Cake, Matcha Azuki Bean Chocolate Cream, Matcha Roll, Matcha Yuzu Cream Tart, Matcha Almond Cake, Matcha Macaron and Matcha Souffle Hot Cake. No teatime would be complete without freshly-baked scones – infused with delicious matcha, of course. The beautiful Matcha Opera Cake is another dessert you cannot miss, with delicate layers of rich Japanese matcha, decorated with gold leaf.

From 11 to 14 July, join the photo hunt game hosted on Gateway Hotel’s Facebook. The first five followers with the correct answer will be awarded a complimentary Matcha High Tea for two persons at Three on Canton.

The delightful ‘Matcha High Tea’ can be enjoyed at Three on Canton or the Be on Canton alfresco terrace between 3:00pm and 5:00pm daily. Priced at HK$488* for two persons and HK$388* for one person , the high tea comes with two cups of floral tea or coffee or two cocktails/mocktails.
