Wine Pairing Dinner with Mazzei @ Elements Hotel Kuala Lumpur

April 21, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Being one of the latest hotel in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Elements Kuala Lumpur by Westin never disappoint us with their innovative food.

And from 9 April till 13 May 2018, Element Hotel Kuala Lumpur comes up with the a 6-course wine pairing dinner at TRACE Restaurant & Bar located at the 40th floor of the hotel. And the dinner features Italian wine from MAZZEI which are specially picked to be paired with different courses from the menu.

Starts your meal with amuse bouche.  Enjoy the cauliflower mousse which is served with in a mini glass. Uniquely prepared and they brings you with the hint of vege base to start your meal with. Refreshing.

Next we had the deliciously done fresh seafood paste together with the chunky tonic water poached prawn. This delicious item is perfectly coated with the bread crumbs and deep fried till perfection. With the crunchy bites at the outside, and inside is juicy. I am just loving this!

Parmesan Consomme with Cheese Espuma is the next dish being served. The light broth with the light cheese flavours is well immersed within. It just at the right serving not too heavy.

Foie Gras came next where they comes with the smooth and creamy texture. Having the lightly pan seared and char-taste on it as well. Served in poached rhubarb, pear compote, quince jus.

After the buttery taste, we are served with the palate cleanser  which is the Sorbet – Green Apple Granite.

The mains is the star of the night – 48hr Braised Angus Short Rib. This is one of the best of the nights. Using the slow cooked method, you can find the tender and moist texture of the meat and the flavours are just there. Sided with baby carrot, charred onion and seasonal greens.

End the meal sweet with Manjari Emulsion Twist. The beautifully prepared desserts which is such a nice treats to end the night. The taste is just delicious and also Instagram friendly as well.
