Dalca Penang by Masakan Warisan @ The Strand

April 17, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Dalca Penang Kota Damansara serves authentic heritage Asian Penang’s food.  And the restaurant is established by a group of people who love food and passionate about their food.

The restaurant are beautifully decorated – simple and yet cosy ambiance.

Being here, of course Nasi Dalca is a must to order. The Nasi Dalca, is cooked with dhal, and mixed with onions, potatoes and carrots until the dhal flavours are infused into the rice. A wide range of aromatic spices such as star anise, cinnamon and cardamon are cooked together with the rice to create a mild-flavoured and aromatic rice dish. When spooned onto a plate and paired with our main, vegetable or egg dishes, all the components will be beautifully combined – a treasure trove of unforgettable flavours and textures. It is simply delicious and I love the fragrance of the rice itself.

Ayam Kampung Goreng Berempah (RM 8)

Their ayam goreng  berempah are carefully prepared where their special blend of herbs and spices are carefully rubbed into each piece of chicken which is then marinated overnight. The ayam goreng berempah comes simply aromatic too.

Lamb Shank Masakan Warisan (RM 28)

Lamb Shank Masakan Warisan is a treasured recipe by  Dalca Penang Kota Damansara. The lamb is marinated with a special mix of spices, and then cooked for hours, making it juicy and tender. Kicap Manis and a blend of herbs and spices make its gravy rich, thick and full of flavour. The meat comes tender as well.

Sotong Masak Kunyit (RM 9)

Sotong Masak Kunyit is another item to go for. Delicate in nature, their Sotong Masak Kunyit is carefully cooked in a combination of herbs and spices, enhanced with the aromatic taste of turmeric. A delicacy dish perfect for those with a discerning palate. Addictively good as well.

Kari Ikan Asam Pedas (RM 12)

I love the Kari Ikan Asam Pedas here. It’s just like home. Cooked with two types of curry powder skillfully mixed by our chefs, their  curry is a beloved dish with just the right amount of spice and tang. The aroma of the curry leaves and tempered spices permeating from the gravy makes this a truly lip-smacking dish. I don’t mind another bowl of rice to go with it. Accompanied your meals with some vegetables as well. And they have quite a choice to choose from where you can have bandi goreng, kacang Panjang goreng and many more.

Ends your meal with some desserts where you can have their rojak Penang and also the Cendol .
