Chuck Two Sons @ Mid Valley : The taste of Penang Nyonya

December 4, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Chuck Two Sons (a spin from the well known Penang Peranakan Restaurant; Sri Melaka) offers you with non-halal Penang Peranakan food. Located in the busy mall – Mid Valley, The Chuck Two Sons is the hearts of both the two son of the Mr Chuck. Operated by the two brothers ; the restaurant serves you with the non-halal version of the Penang Nyonya Cuisine which is hardly find in the malls.
Chuck Two Sons is located next to Brozeit and is the same row with the Greyhound Café, Antipodean and a few eateries around the same row. Chuc Two Sons brings you with the beautiful dining settings and it is simply cozy. Sitting down there and relaxed or even brings your family for a meal is perfect. The restaurant comes with shades of brown and darker colors is just making feel home and what capture us is the beautiful portrait painting of the two Chuck’s brother.
One of the signature and must try is their signature
Tau Yew Bak (RM 38.50)
A taste of home I could say; the Tau Yew Bak is simply a comfort food at anytime with a taste of home. Chucky pork meat with a layer of collagen and hard boiled egg reminds me how my great grandmother had cooked them. Drench the sauce on top of a warm rice with some spicy sambal belachan will definitely make a great combination.

Nyonya Lobak (RM 12)
The lobak is one of the best seller here where one can enjoy this scrumptious lobak which is perfectly done the traditional way. Enjoy the chunks of meat rolled in the beancurd roll and deep fried till golden brown. Sides with their chilly dipping sauce.
Crab Laksa (RM 25)
Never leave Chuck Two Sons if you have not tried their laksa. We heard so much good things about their asam laksa and the crab laksa , and so we are here. Deliciously done with the flavourful and rich broth which is well blended with the broth. We are truly indulged with it especially the silky noodles and the generous ingredients – fresh crab meat, shredded cucumber, cabbage, mint leaf and also the bunga kantan. I am truly indulged with it where every mouthful is sinfully good and delicious.
Salted Egg Sotong (RM31)
One of the must order for me as I am a big fans of seafood and salted egg. When it is served, the smell of it had make my tummy drolls again. The squids are fresh and well coated with the salted. Flavourful!
Assam Fish Siakap

Sambal Petai Prawns RM40
They also have a variety of fish and seafood delights here as well. The Sambal Petai Prawns is another must order here where one can have the bouncy prawns stir fried together with the stinky beans in the spicy, sour, sweet sauce. But, the spiciness is slightly mild to us.
We ends our meal with some chendol, ice kachang and gula sago melaka. They are huge complete with ingridients and is worth every penny. Less sweetness but is refreshing!
