Premium Mooncake Delights From InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong

Celebrate a splendid Mid-Autumn Festival with famed InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong’s divine mooncakes.  The host of expertly-crafted mooncake collections ranged from classic flavours to intriguing whisky chocolate flavours, marking the perfect festive gift for the beloved family and business counterparts.

Among the classic mooncake selections, the exquisite White Lotus Seed Purée Mooncakes with Double Yolk (HK$388 per box with 4 pieces), featuring silky white lotus seed purée with savoury salted egg yolks, is an ideal treat for those who are staying loyal to traditional flavours.

The delectable Mini Egg Custard Mooncakes (HK$308 per box with 6 pieces) are made from exclusive recipe using rich duck eggs. The sought-after favourite featuring the velvety and luscious custard filling is encased in a delicate buttery crust.

Mini Purple Sweet Potato Mooncakes with Chestnuts (HK$308 per box with 6 pieces) is brought back by popular demand since its launch last year. Each of them is crafted with a perfect blend of Taiwanese purple sweet potato and Tianjin chestnuts, offering an aromatic and refreshing flavour.

Not to be missed is the new creation – Mini Low Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes with Pine Nuts (HK$308 per box with 6 pieces).  Traditional flavour using the low-sugar recipe, refined white lotus seed paste and crunchy pine nuts, making it the best choice for the health-conscious.

As an alternative, sample the creative interpretation of the classic mooncake using whisky and chocolate by Tiffany’s New York Bar. Catching on the trend of whiskies, Hong Kong’s first whisky chocolate mooncakes that were introduced at Tiffany’s New York Bar since two years ago received an overwhelming success. This year, the hotel unveils its collaboration with Taiwan’s first whiskymaker and the nation’s only family-owned whisky distillery Kavalan, featuring three of its distinctive whiskies for the trio whisky chocolate mooncakes. Each box of handcrafted Kavalan Whisky Chocolate Mooncakes (HK$468 per box with 3 pieces) comes in three single malt whisky flavours: Kavalan Classic; Kavalan Solist Ex-Bourbon and Kavalan Solist Amontillado; and in particular Solist Amontillado won the World Whiskies Awards – World’s Best Single Cask Single Malt in 2016. The World Whiskies Awards are the global awards selecting the very best in all international recognized styles of drinks each year.

Mr. John Drummond, Whisky Ambassador and Resident Manager of the hotel shared his insights on the whisky selections. “Tiffany’s New York Bar has been renowned for its enormous collection of whiskies and Kavalan is one of the on-the-rise brands that worth introducing to Hong Kong’s consumers provided of its premium quality. Three distinctive whiskies serve as an educational and sensational journey that guides discerning customers in touring the difference in cask finishing, from subtle to intense, and sample how the three whiskies complement with diverse cocoa percentage of chocolate.”
