TASTE THE ART @ FLINT GRILL & BAR

March 11, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

In honour of Art Basel, which will return to Hong Kong once again from 24 to 26 March 2016, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong’s Flint Grill & Bar will be launching an artinspired menu for budding foodies and seasoned gourmands alike, exclusively from 21 to 27 March 2016.

The property’s Executive Chef, Stephen Doe has teamed up with Pastry Chef, Roger Fok, a top 10 finalist of the prestigious World Chocolate Masters 2015 to present an aesthetically eye-pleasing 3-course dinner, designed to inspire and engage guests with a one-of-a-kind culinary-art experience like no other.

Drawing inspirations from various famous artists, Chef Stephen’s specially-crafted dinner menu includes Rock Pool Portrait – a nautical medley of oysters, razor clam, surf clam, abalone, geoduck lime, sake granite, samphire and sea kelps; Palette Board – a choice of bone-in Linz Heritage New York Strip or New Zealand Akaroa King Salmon as a canvas, with salsa verde and roast tomato paste as the paint, bringing out the artist in our guests! Followed by a sumptuous dessert, Pop Art Lips by Chef Roger – influenced by the legendary Andy Warhol’s lips theme, consisting of a chocolate
ganache dessert with blood orange compote, finished with ice -cream dipping dots.

To further elevate the edible-art journey, Flint’s Bar acclaimed mixologist Bryson Rivera has prepared a unique Gin Lavender Sour Cocktail, included as part of the menu. Guests will be treated to an extraordinary sensory experience with this sensational gin-based concoction combined with a harmony of bright tastes including lavender cordial, lemon juice, egg white and rhubarb bitters – a refreshing conclusion to a remarkable art tour de force!

Set atop the world-famous Pacific Place, Flint Grill & Bar is a specialty restaurant that comes through where it matters most – in the quality of its ingredients, the skill of its chefs and the dedication of its staff. Offering modern surroundings with an industrial chic design edge and a welcoming residential atmosphere, the culinary hub brings food aficionados closer to the action, inviting them to watch their selected dishes being prepared using premium ingredients sourced fresh from around the world. This stylish restaurant offers prime cuts of world-class meat and market-fresh seafood, seared on Flint Grill & Bar’s tailor-made lava stone grill – paired with phenomenal cocktails and carefully handpicked new and old world wines.

Flint Grill & Bar’s art themed-inspired menu is priced at HK$888 per person, inclusive of a Gin Lavender Sour Cocktail as well as Petit Fours with coffee or tea, from 6pm-10:30pm. A minimum 1 day advance reservation is required.
